Over 650 Law Professors Oppose Kavanaugh Nomination

ROTFLMAO

'Law professors?'

These people have evidently not made themselves fully conversant with the American culture today:

'Law?? What 'law?' I am the law!' ...spake CNN when it was on top, and now spake Fox & Friends, when they are on top.

This is the LAW, idiots.

Jesus H. Muhammad, no wonder I advise parents not to send their kids to modern-day 'Universities' which are just echo-chambers for the dictums of whoever paid them the last round of grants.

No, don't say that! Don't you realize just how important it is to attend only the tier one echo chambers?

After all, Blacks Law dictionary takes on a deeper meaning at Florida State as opposed to South Dakota community college #2

I know the steam tables I studied at Purdue are far superior to the ones at Rose Hulman.

Yes. How dare someone accused of rape while his wife and 10 year old daughter are menaced by rabid liberals show anger!

What kind of monster is he, anyway?!

If only Sen Feinstein had not requested the FBI report to be sealed when it was released last night, we could read for ourselves.

I guess we'll have to wait for the "leaks".

And the vote, coming this weekend!

The leaks have begun and the FBI investigation report was only delivered last night!

White House deputy press secretary Raj Shah told CNN's "New Day" that the FBI contacted 10 people as part of its reopened investigation into allegations against Brett Kavanaugh, and interviewed nine of them - none of whom corroborated claims levied against the Supreme Court nominee.

Former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens says Kavanaugh should not be confirmed.

Stevens said that while he initially believed Kavanaugh has the requisite intellectual ability to sit on the court, the nominee's partisan broadsides at a hearing investigating sexual assault allegations against him showed that he may not have the temperament to be on the court.

"At that time, I thought (Kavanaugh) had the qualifications for the Supreme Court should he be selected," Stevens said. "I've changed my views for reasons that have no relationship to his intellectual ability…I feel his performance in the hearings ultimately changed my mind."

Stevens said that their was "merit" to the criticism by Democrats that Kavanaugh has been too partisan in his defense against allegations of sexual assault. "I think the senators should pay attention to that," Stevens said.

There are around 17,000 law professors in the country. So in other words 96% of law professors are fine with Kavanaugh.

Over 1,700 law professors now urge rejection of Kavanaugh.

“We have differing views about the other qualifications of Judge Kavanaugh. But we are united, as professors of law and scholars of judicial institutions, in believing that he did not display the impartiality and judicial temperament requisite to sit on the highest court of our land.”

Wow. We're down to 90% in support of Kavanaugh

The opening of a letter published in the New York Times on 3 October:

“More than 650 law professors nationwide signed a letter urging the Senate to reject Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, citing his temperament during a Senate Judiciary Hearing last week.”

The number of law professors signing the letter opposing Kavanaugh's Supreme Court confirmation has gone up to over 2,400. (No, they aren't all leftists or Democrats. They are Americans. And, no, not every law professor who hasn't signed the letter supports Kavanaugh. That supposition is panicked and stupid.)

LOL

Hardly panicked. Vote could go either way but if it goes against Kavsnaugh it'll be by one or two votes.

I guess we'll see in a couple of days.

Probably no surprise to anyone, but it's the first time in thirty years that the Washington Post editorial board has called for a "No" on a Supreme Court nomination. They take the same tack I have--not seeing enough to reach a conclusion on the Ford sexual assault issue but seeing way more than enough of evidence of Kavanaugh's unsuitability in temperance, extreme partisanship, dishonesty, and lying.
