I got the hell out of my parents' house as soon as I could. Lived at home summers during college, and when I graduated I never thought of it as an option, though they would have let me if I'd wanted. Makes sense for some kids, I guess, though, saving money while they get on their feet.

Ishmael isn't upset about people who live in their parents houses.

Where I live on the Canadian prairies it is not ass odd for someone to live at their parents if they are single. Even some that are older.

I have always lived in cities so it is a bit more rare in a city. But you go onto farms and if a son or daughter isn't married they will be living in the same house as the parents on a farm.

That is just the way it is, and no one thinks it is odd. They would just say, why build a house if they haven't gotten married yet.
