Over 18 and living at home.

'Failure to Launch' is quite a common phenonemon Ish. We're not losers.
Adequate housing is rather expensive where I live.

Failure to be launched might be closer to the fact. I actually don't blame those taking a free ride. It's amazing what can be accomplished when given a deadline.

Have you ever considered anger managment?

Was there a point to this, Ish?

I got the hell out of my parents' house as soon as I could. Lived at home summers during college, and when I graduated I never thought of it as an option, though they would have let me if I'd wanted. Makes sense for some kids, I guess, though, saving money while they get on their feet.

Ishmael isn't upset about people who live in their parents houses.

He's upset about people who 'live at home.'

Basically, if you ain't institutionalised, Ishmael thinks he's better than you.

:D

Uh, I guess, uh, I hope you catch what you wish for.

I don't want to land them Perg., just want to see who strikes at the bait. :)

Adult children aren't living at home because they decided they would. Capiche?

No? Why do you think they are then?

That's it, I'm leaving my home and moving under the bridge. Then I'll move from there because it will be my home into that abandoned building downtown. Then I'll move from there because it'll be my home and I'll...... Whoa, that's a lot of moving and it may upset my cat.

Make it Houston in Oct. All of the 'underpass' roads are flooded. You'll be fine with the water. :)

Yeah, it's a bummer isn't it ?

I've only got a couple of years left on my mortgage, but I guess that in order to be a winner (like Ishmael) I'll have to leave home and go find a bed at the salvation army.

:D

An excellent idea... more puddles for me to eliminate

Where I live on the Canadian prairies it is not ass odd for someone to live at their parents if they are single. Even some that are older.

I have always lived in cities so it is a bit more rare in a city. But you go onto farms and if a son or daughter isn't married they will be living in the same house as the parents on a farm.

That is just the way it is, and no one thinks it is odd. They would just say, why build a house if they haven't gotten married yet.

Ish, of course, kills his kids before they have the chance to move out.

Quaint. :)

You do not want a minimum wage so the kids can earn enough to get an apartment and then your are going to bash them for living with Mommy due to lack of funds?

Just does not seem fair.

Yep, mine is Aug. 2007, and it's not a free ride. Just thinking about all of the grief they give me really drives me to almost want to pay rent.

Ahh, fair. Life is fair and we should all get behind government to make it fairer.

Guess what Petey? Unless the parents kick the fledglings out of the nest it makes no difference what the minmum wage is. :)

Parents can suck up to their kids all they want. It's a free country. Or is it?

Of course, if you're sponging off others to get ahead, well, that's OK. :)

Assmeal is the same flaming retard who preaches that people should rely on their families and not the Government.

In today's economy it is almost impossible for an 18 year old to get a job that pays the rent. A job that pays over $8/hr automatically requires a college degree and to get a degree you need even more money.

The economics say that most 18 year olds are going to be staying home. Anecdotes can kiss my ass, most are staying home. Period.

In my day, I had a $20/hr job waiting for me at 18. Now? It's either live off your family at 18 or live off welfare.

There
are
far
too
few
jobs
that
support
18 year olds
leaving
home.

Period.

Shut the fuck up, Assmeal, shut the fuck up, you lost Congress with your bullshit, so why can't you just shut the fuck up!

Well, you should know LT. You sponged off your mama until you drove her to her grave. :)

Your attitude is a trait of parasites.
