Has Donald Trump outsourced US foreign policy to Tel Aviv and Moscow?
His son in law has taken over US middle east policy from Tillerson particularly with respect to Iran where the US appears to be taking orders from Israel. Similarly US policy to Qatar is straight out of the Israeli manual and again ignores Tillerson.
In recent weeks Trump has given Putin more time than his own man, Tillerson.
In addition, Trump rejected Tillerson's choice of deputy, Elliot Abrams on the advice (again) of Kushner.
The State Dept is currently subject to big White House induced budget cuts and a lot of professional specialists have already left.
Worst of all, Trump is in open warfare with his own intelligence agencies. His antipathy to the CIA is well known, but why?. What is the point of it? Rubbishing your own intelligence people can only have a messy ending.
London Bookmakers will no longer take bets that Tillerson will still be in office in 2018. The bookies are hardly ever wrong.
