Outside influence?

After reading thread after thread about couples that have lost the sexual spark in their relationships, I have wanted to ask a question.

For a long time now I've had the notion that sometimes an experience with the right someone can have a profound influence on attitudes toward sex. I realize that it could be positive or negative, but my question is about positive influences.

How many, if any, have had someone change the way they feel about sex?

I have found through a few friendships in Literotica had more open dialogue around interests, desires, fantasies etc. I would say input from several married ladies helped me to better appreciate why my wife might be thinking and probably helped me open up more sexually both here and at home.

Definitely my second wife changed my attitude towards sex. She made me realize that there are women that enjoy it and are willing to do almost anything. Of course, that was 25 years ago, now, not so much.

I think especially in today's world it is easy to become dissatisfied with sex when following traditional approaches to it. If you look back and compare it to now people have sex more and push the boundaries of what can be done and experienced during sex. In this sense a married couple that has basic or traditional sex over years it can get to be dull or uneventful. You wouldn't want to have the same meal night after night and nothing ever changes on it. After a few years I doubt the excitement for that meal would be there. This is where having an open marriage or just spicing things up can be great for a sex life and change is good. Don't do things the same and talk about what you want to try, don't want to try, and mix it up.

Well, you've you have dragged this thread back to the surface. Maybe it will resonate with some now.

It's a subject I'm curious about. I know that some of the folks I've chatted with, or related to in real life, have caused me to re-think some long held opinions.
