Terence Berkett looked at his surroundings. Glass walled corner office, marble and oak, deep tones and rich furnishings. He had no trouble feeling comfortable here. It wasn't the place, he had worked for Weston International, moving from city to city, for only 9 years. This was his first move overseas and when the offices closed, he felt a lifetime away from the familiar. He looked absently at the clock, new to the office, he was assimilating slowly, so there was little to keep him here. A short 8 days now, it appeared that it might be several more before he began to feel acceptable. The time difference meant most of his acquaintances were just arriving to work, so the familiar was well out of reach. Terence closed his calendar, switched his phone to out of office and began a slow walk to the windows that overlooked the city. There was something different here, he hoped it was a positive difference.
