Our joey emerged from mom's pouch last night

Our sugargliders have had a cute little joey. He or she emerged from momma's pouch for the first time last night. We were quite excited, having the discovery channel in our living room. It's been about a week since she gave birth so joey should be out and playful by next week. They are incredible little creature. I reccomend them highly as pets. The male is a little nippy but that's just him trying to protect his young. The female has been a real joy. She licks like a cat when you take her out of her habitat.
