Ouch!!!!!!!

Well okay here I sit with my leg up on a pile of pillows.

The other night I was sitting at the computer and started feeling pretty punked up. Chills, aches, and a severe aching in my right calf and inside of my right thigh. The next morning I got up and it hurt to even put weight on my foot but I soldiered on like any good wage slave and went to work.

By the end of my shift me leg was swollen and felt like it was on fire. My supervisor decided that I should go to the E.R. or failing that a clinic. I chose the clinic because of costs. Well, the upshot is I have Cellulitis in my right calf. So far I have had two shots of Unisyn and am on Augmenten. (Both broad spectrum Anti-Biotics.) My leg still burns and is still swollen but it is already getting better.

Work of course is upset because I off my feet until Thursday but they'll have to suck it up.

Yeah I too hope I get better soon. It kind of sucks not being able to walk the ten feet to the fridge for a beer without it taking something like ten minutes or having to ask my wife to get me one.

One other side effect I can't wait to get rid of. Having A fever for two plus days I can deal with. Being in pain for a couple of days I can deal with. The two of them together though is killing my sex life. I'm just not interested.

Yes, get better man. Take it easy. Pushing yourself will only drag it out. Believe me. I have been sick enough to know from personal experience. Plenty of personal experience there.

Hey thanks for the support all.

Today I realized I really should have taken those crutches when the doc offered them. (This S.O.B. smarts like you wouldn't believe.)

The leg is starting to look a little better, the shots and pills seem to be working although far too slow for my taste.

On the other hand I did get a chance to get some pictures of the kittens. (Now I'll have to go and find that thread.)

Okay,
Update on my peg.

Hobbled into the Doctors office today for a follow up visit
When the Nurse Practitioner walked into the exam room she looked at me leg, glanced around the room then asked me where my crutches were. When I told her I didn't have any she informed me she was making sure I had a pair when I left. She also asked me what I wanted for the pain, Percocets or Vicodin. (I then had to explain why I refused both.)

So now here I sit once agin knowin that I'm not going back to work until at least Monday. (I'm going stir crazy.)

I hobbled into the backroom this afternoon and lay down on the floor for a little bit. A couple of minutes passed while I scratched critter as she nosed around then I felt a tickle on my ribs as one of the kittens wandered out and started investigating. Before I knew it I ahd three kittens plaing mountain climber on me. It was too funny.
