It's fairly safe to say that we all enjoy our sex/bdsm...but what else do you like to do?

I'm fairly geeky, myself...

I like to read (books,magazines,wikipedia...forums)
I like to play games...video, pc, ccg (magic the gathering, etc)...
I like to write (not so much stuff I would post here on Lit, but other stuff...)

Etc.

So, what are your other hobbies?

Cool thread, but I guarantee that someone's going to bitch about it being here instead of the cafe.

But to answer the original question:

I love to read.

I'm REALLY into genealogy.

I love to sing.

I like to cross-stitch.

Um, I'm sure I do more things than all this, but I can't htink of them now.

Well they can move it if they dont want it here. :D
But thanks for the post.
Always interesting to see what ELSE we have in common....
;)

Well, I was speaking of the collective "we" as in all of us here, but like you, I like to read...I also like to sing, as long as no one's listening....things like that!

:D

I love to draw, sculpt, paint, listen to music, watch films, read a variety of books, write stories, decorate, swim, travel, make clothes and shop. I enjoy studying history, interior design, physics, astronomy, mythology and animal behavior. I have a coin collection and vintage first edition collection.

Ah, a general 'we'. LOL

Well, generally, we all rock. :nana:

Sculpting? That sounds interesting, what do you sculpt?

And yes ma'am...we all rock!

I read and show horses. That's about the extent of it.

Mostly body parts...like a hand, a foot, a knee or the curve of a hip...pieces of people.

Mostly I write. I am more of a poet, but I am beginning to delve into storytelling a bit. I love to read. I have an 18-month old, so there isn't much time for it, but I do what I can. I like anything crafty. I make gemstone jewlery. I scrapbook. I used to teach pre-school, and I loved doing various crafts with the kids. I do a little bit with my daughter, but she's young yet. I love to research whatever peaks my interest at the moment. The internet has been wonderful with that :p And I love to talk to people. I enjoy getting into other people's heads :)

Exactly.

May I suggest Wikipedia.org if you do not already know of it...it's wonderful for researching things.

Ditto on the talking to people/delving into the minds of others type thing.
In fact, that was one purpose of this thread!
:D

I love to read. I write a little, and edit some for people too. I'm a fan of RPG's, in tabletop, single player and MMORPG format. I love music and singing, even if I'm horribly out of practice with the first and rapidly losing any talent with the second.

I also love to listen to music; I'm not happy if I can't listen to something. Music runs my life.

I also enjoy photography, anime, and am looking forward to learning to speak japanese. :)

I am a bad, bad, bad, bad, bad cook. Unless it is baking sweet things.

I LOVE Wikipedia :)

And especially as a noob here, I thought this thread was a great way to get to know the other posters a bit :)

Reading (mostly Science Fiction/Fantasy genre, but also biology news)
Writing
SCA (I used to play a lot, but Florida area I am in, most events are outdoors, and I do not get along well with pollen, mold or heat)
RPGs (tabletop, pen & paper style, play by e-mail, click through internet games like Kingdom of Loathing)
ARGS
Pets (dogs & cats)

I don't have a "must see TV" fetish, but in addition to the Sci-Fi channel, I also like watching Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, Home & Garden, Food Network, Cartoon Network, and the occasional Law & Order, American Idol & Survivor stuff.

And yes, I am a geek too, but Natural Sciences rather than technology based.

I did a thread like this a while ago, it's intresting. The people have changed so it's good to get a taste of the new blood ( https://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=242481 )

My intrests:
body modification (and it's surrounding community)
Burning man events (I shoudl be leaving for playa del fuego in less then 12 hours)
Pennsic (an SCA event)
hula hooping ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFmlUKZSFyI )
Spinning poi ( http://www.homeofpoi.com )
trick bullwhip
circus arts
arts in general.
reading.
school work (i consider it a hobby!)
Photoshop / Illustrator (those programs never close.)
communicating and learning via the internet.
board games

Yo ammre, glow, fire or wire?

Anyways.

Genealogy
History
Geography
Electronic Music
Messageboarding
Some linguistics (playing around with words)

Hey! Me too! :D

Fury :rose:

Reading/Studying
Incunables and 16th century printing
Vintage Lingerie
Vintage clothing
Tightlacing
Knitting
Cooking
Baking

I'm slowly learning html and Photoshop Elements, as an addition tot he vintage lingerie thing, so it's a blur of work and hobby... we'll call it a wobby. :)

While I don't consider my BDSM and D/s tastes a hobby, in my freetime I do the following;

- Race cross-country mountian bikes (mens expert class)

- Race snowboards (slalom, GS & Boardercross)

- Run (mostly 5-15ks, no more races for me)

- Ride longboard skateboards.

Beyond all of that, my work and the two beautiful and special women in my life the thing I adore the most when being lazy is reading, I love books (mostly non-fiction, history, philosophy...and "the classics")...

I find time to sleep as well.

Well, I don't mean to call anyone's (save for myself) sexual interests as a "hobby" but seeing as I am no longer currently involved in BDSM activities, nor do I need to practice it in daily life, that's how I see it for the moment!

Again thank you all for the responses, lots of interesting and unexpected answers!

I always like these threads as I always hope to find people interested in some of the other things that I'm interested in.

My two big passions: Jazz music (playing) and Football (watching)

Other that those,

Reading (but I have a hard time finding things to read, so right now I have back issues of the New Yorker checked out of the library)
Zen
Computers in general
