Other Heavily Populated Forums

Hey guys, it has been a while since I've been on Lit. But I have a question and I'm pretty confident that you guys could give me some solid advice.

Lit is a pretty heavily populated forum. And it's for obvious reasons. This is a forum about sex and it actually has women on it. So, it's easy to see why it's so popular.

But that's not true for most forums, and I've been looking for a new forum off and on now for about the last 3 or so months. I've come to realize a few problems. First of all, forums are usually so specific in nature that they only attract a specific group of people. Secondly, most forums are pretty slow in terms of traffic.

Lit is really a different kind of beast because it brings in all types of people from all over the world and they love to stay, checking in often. I'm trying to find other forums that also share those qualities, and I'm just not finding anything. I've Google searched everything that I like with the word "forum" attached to it, but nothing really seems prospective.

So do you guys have any ideas? I hope this doesn't violate any type of guideline for this forum. I'm not trying to get rid of Lit users. I'm just trying to find what else is out there. Because I'm tired of the deserted forums where they get like one post per day.

Oh, and it doesn't haven't to be sexual. Haha Just populated.

I know a forum that has a lot of heavy traffic where people reply real time, but it's for makeup.

Sorry Christopher, I couldn't avoid the smartass comment! LOL Seriously, I don't know of any other forums. You didn't say in your post, what types of forums are you looking for? I know you pretty well, but there seems to be a bunch of new people around here lately. Let them know what you're looking for and maybe they can help.

Nah, it's okay. I guess in my absence, this forum has been replaced by people from the Playground and The General Discussions Board. I'll just ask this question on Yahoo Answers.

Yeah, that sucks. This place used to have all kinds of great threads with meaningful posts. Now, I'm actually seeing GB posters over here. I wonder what happened. And don't blame me because I've been gone!

I'll probably join IGN forums or something.

Remember when you used the metaphor that I was shooting arrows at you and I responded that you shot arrows NEAR me. This is a great example. I didn't come here to fight with you. But this is your second passive-aggressive or insulting post in my thread. What do you want from me?

All I want is for you to leave me alone. That's it. No insults. No fighting. Just don't speak to me and I'll do likewise in kind. Why are you so aggressive? Don't answer that. I mean, you have a right to a rebuttal but we all know how this will end. You and I dislike each other. It will and has always ended badly. So why are you pressing on? Would it help if I admitted to you that my life sucks and that you win? Because if that's what it takes, I'll do it. Whatever to get you off my case.

It should come as no surprise that some arrows fly by your ears every now and then when you treat people here how you have treated a number of us. But as requested I will put them away and let you walk by. You're right I was just being a snide bitch because I remember the things you last said. I can admit that and put the arrows away.

There's a lot of questions here you've asked me, told me I have a right to answer, and then promptly told me I don't. That's fine i don't need to address them. I do however want you to know I am sorry you feel your life is shit, but everyone has problems Christopher. No one is immune or alone in their problems. I hope things are happier for you in the the future and to hear you say that you think your life is shit does not even come close to making me happy. I'm sorry that is the image of me you take with you but so be it.

Anyway moving on...

The forum i thought you might do well at is offtopic.com I have not been there for a number of years but it was very traffic heavy and eclectic in its topics back then. A quick glance says it is at least still around so might be worth looking at but also might not be. You had expressed some gaming interests and they had a heavy gamer population/ sub-forum at least when I was there.
