I was absolutely amazed at how respectful and courteous everyone was. My expectation was that of a "sexual frenzy". I was very pleasantly surprised ... and relieved.

I have participated in and hosted quite a few sex parties. However, I don't know that they can be defined as orgies based on the following Google Dictionary definition:

The parties I have experienced have all been subject to rules and boundaries regarding manners and behavior. Alcoholic beverages were limited to beer, wine and champagne. Drunkenness was not allowed. Illegal drugs were strictly prohibited.

While there was always significant amounts and types of sexual activities between participants, all sexual contact was respectful and consensual. All activities took place in the open where others could watch and/or participate.

I have attended the following types of sex parties:

1. Monogamous couples. There was no sexual play with anyone other than the person you came with. Voyeurism is usually the purpose at these parties.
2. Heterosexual only activities. This usually meant the swapping of sexual partners.
3. Couples in which the female was bisexual. Play included MFF and FF.
4. Couples in which both the female and male were bisexual. Play included MFM, MMF, FFM, FF, and MM.
5. Male only

Notes

• I only attended controlled parties. Attendance was by invitation only followed by the invitee's acceptance. I never attended any "open" parties.
• Each person/couple paid a sizable cover charge.

Based on the definition below, I would say no. But we have come close. Once we went on vacation with three other couples, all of whom were swingers.
