Hello, I'm a new author here, and currently my stories are just listed randomly on my page. I've seen other authors have them organized into series or based on storyline arcs. How can I do this? I've dug all over the settings page and can't seem to find the answer. Thanks in advance!

It is done by the titles. If you want a series, the titles should be something like this:

My Story 01. The Beginning
My Story 02. They Meet
My Story 03. First Date
...

Those titles have to be in the Title box which has a limited number of characters so the whole title has to be short. You can expand further in the subtitle but that won't appear on your list.

The numbering is important. Unless you intend to have more than 99 chapters, start numbering with 01; 02; 03 etc. (If you intend more than 99 then start with 001; 002; 003...)

If you start with a bare 1, your story list might show like this:

My Story 1
My Story 11
My Story 12
My Story 2
My Story 3 and so on.

But if you start with 01; 02; etc the episodes will appear in order.

If you already have a number of stories you want to appear as a series, I suggest that you work out how you would title them as I have set out above, and then send a PM to Laurel with the names (and preferably urls) of the stories you want listed as a series with their new sequential titles.

It may take Laurel so time to do that because it wouldn't be a priority for her, but if you ask politely she will get around to it.

Stories which are not part of a series or a novella that is posted in chapters, are list alphabetically. Which are what yours are.

How do you get sections for a novella? There is no option during submission, and yet some authors have tons of sections with stories organized within...

If you look at my list of stories, or my stories as jeanne_d_artois, you will find series.

It is all done by the first part of the title. Using the same start, followed by a number whether Ch. Part. Sect. or whatever and the numeral (as in my post above) will show the story as a novella or series in numerical order.

You have to be very careful to keep the first part of the title identical including spacing and punctuation.

My story Ch01
and
My Story Ch02

won't work because of the upper case S on Story for Ch02.
