oral std

recently a friend ask me if they could get HIV or other std's from oral. he is straight and i"d like to point him in the right direction (toward my mouth) i told him that anything was possible but highly unlikely. i have never heard of it. is this true?

It's from a government organization so it must be true.

There are recorded instances of oral-genital transmission of HIV, but the risk is apparently small as the concentration of the virus in saliva is low. The risk is not so low for certain other STDs (eg. herpes).

That's the main block for me trying things out. As curious as I am, I don't really want to bring anything home but a . Don't mind condoms for anal, it's the oral I'd prefer to be unwrapped.
