Oprah's on!

Who cares? My experience with Oprah's people was not good. She is a major fake, with an ego as big as the planet.

this is what i figured...she's mostly popular in a pretty specific yet huge demographic. Pray tell...what was your "experience?"
 
My son was murdered in 1999 in a very public mass shooting here in Texas. Several of us were asked to appear on the Oprah show. We were basically told what to say, when to say it & how to say it, so we all turned them down. I didn't want to focus on the shooting, I wanted to focus on my son & the other young people who died that terrible night. Oprah's staffers are good little robots who say what she tells them to say. One of the young ladies who was there that night did appear on a later show dealing with young people who were heros. She protected a friend from being shot & was shot herself. She told me later that the Oprah staffers told her she could not talk about the other victims, she could not talk about the church where the shooting happened & she couldn't talk about her faith. So much for Oprah believing in faith-huh? I was very disappointed in the attitudes of everyone involved with the show. My son lived for 17 years, I don't want 10 minutes to define who he was.

I had a sense that's how the "prepping" for the show went, but never had real life proof. That's crap and I'm sorry for...everything you wrote above. What some people compromise for their jobs...
