Is A L Kennedy the best British female author of her generation?

Well, I'm not sure about it. However, I usually enjoy her articles, and she doesn't have to lie about her books translated into Russian, or something.

I refuse to comment on anything written in The Grauniad. It has a tradition of writing 'thoughtful' pieces designed to appeal to 'liberal' (in the US) sense opinion.

I'd rather comment on the page 3 girl in The Sun.

Plus, can anyone remember about a certain British author's books being translated into Russian? I think I read it in the Guardian Weekend supplimantary (2004) I can't be bothered to go to guardian.co.uk and search its archive. It sure developed into an interesting story.

I suppose I could write an interesting account of my experience once my trouble is over and I'm with my soulmate in the US of A. Yeah, kind of semi-autobiography, but it certainly won't be a "higher" writing. I should post it on Dave Eggers' McSweeny website for the maximum US exposure. Hum. Sounds good.

Do you remember the personals adverts she placed on the Indipendent just after she mentioned them in one of her stories? What was it, now. . . "Literary Chilled"? "Sparky"? Oh, and "Devon".

Now, I'm a straight male. Isn't it odd that a lesbian was placing the adverts to get my attention?
