Opposition Rallies

The Republican Party is struggling to hold town hall meetings. They quickly devolve into angry shouting matches.

On the other hand, Democrats are holding big rallies. We all know how much MAGAs are impressed by big rallies!

Sanders and AOC tell packed arena Trump is ‘screwing over’ working class
Speaking to an overflowing arena as part of his Stop Oligarchy tour – a series of events with the progressive New York congresswoman that has attracted huge attention among Democratic supporters disillusioned with what they feel is the party’s otherwise tepid reaction to Trump’s radical agenda – Sanders, the senator from Vermont, warned the president: “We will not allow you to move this country into an oligarchy. We’re not going to allow you and your friend Mr Musk and the other billionaires to wreak havoc on this country.”

The rally was the pair’s second of the day, following an earlier event in Las Vegas, as the progressive political stars continue on what has become a particularly high-profile tour that also features events on Friday in Colorado – including a town hall in Denver featuring Alvaro Bedoya, an FTC commissioner who was abruptly fired by Trump this week. On Saturday, Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez will return to Arizona for a rally in Tucson.

The Vermont senator and the New York representative are rallying huge crowds with a message to reshape the Democratic party

According to a memo by Sanders’ longtime adviser, Faiz Shakir, the senator has raised more than $7m from more than 200,000 donors since February, and is drawing crowds 25% to 100% larger than at the height of his presidential campaigns in 2016 and 2020. On Friday, more than 30,000 people attended a rally in Denver – the largest audience Sanders has ever drawn, his team said.

Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rally thousands of Tucson progressives

An estimated 20,000 people packed in and around the football stadium of Tucson’s Catalina High School for the final stop on the progressive “Fighting Oligarchy” tour, headlined by Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders and New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

“I don't care if you're a conservative Republican or a progressive, does anybody think it makes sense that we have a campaign finance system where one man, Musk, can put $270 million to get Trump elected, and then his reward is that he becomes the most powerful person in government? That is not democracy, that is oligarchy,” Sanders said.

Fuck democrap rallies, they had a poll and they want Harris to run again. A POX on both parties.

I guess rallies are just empty arenas. View attachment 2517491

They’re unhappy despite winning.
They have based their happiness on wishing misfortune on their neighbors only to discover that hurting their neighbors have also hurt themselves.
Their congress people are avoiding them because they ceded power to trump who’s self serving agenda of doge, Russia, and hotels in Gaza offers no solutions to the problems of their constituents.

There was not one damn thing wrong with Kamala as a representative of the Democratic Party.

But we tried that ^.

The MAGAts have driven the Democratic Party to embrace even more extreme populist progressive representation - which is NOT necessarily a good thing.

President Biden and Vice President Harris were an olive branch to conservatives, but the "conservatives" rejected them in favor of President Musk (and DonOld). I expect a more extreme populist progressive representative as the candidate for the Democratic Party in 2028, which will likely take political polarization to critical mass.

Get ready for that “civil war” everyone has been predicting.

ANNALS OF LEFTIST AUTOPHAGY: Moment Bernie Sanders storms out of ‘nonsense’ interview leaving ABC reporter stunned after he asked simple question.

Sen. Bernie Sanders abruptly ended his sit-down interview with ABC News.
The Vermont independent left This Week host Jonathan Karl stunned when he refused to answer whether he thinks his progressive partner in the House Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez should run for the Senate.
Sanders said the interview was ‘nonsense’ after Karl pushed him if AOC should replace Senate Minority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer after he voted for the Republicans budget to avert a government shutdown.
After trying to shut down the line of questioning, the firebrand senator stood up in the middle of the interview and stormed out of the room – a moment that was caught on camera as Karl urged Sanders not to cut it short.
No longer on-camera, Sanders called the discussion ‘inside the beltway stuff’ and suggested there are bigger fish to fry then speculating over the future of the leadership in the Democratic Party.
The senator then conceded and allowed Karl to get in one last, non-AOC-related question that centered around his political future.

Tim Walz on tour too, in a district with a Republican congressman.

“I thought it was a flex that I was the poorest person and the only public school teacher to ever run for vice-president of the United States,” Walz told a crowd of roughly 1,500 people that filled an auditorium and spilled into an overflow room on a Saturday morning. “They chose the billionaire. We gotta do better.”

Walz held the rally in a region of Minnesota where the congressman, Brad Finstad, is one of many Republicans who haven’t held in-person town halls. Republicans who have hosted events in recent weeks have experienced heated pushback. Signs outside the venue, John Marshall high school, showed Finstad’s face in black and white and said “Missing Congressman”.

Dude, the MAGA rallies are stocked with people boasting about how they travel around the country going from Felon Rally to Felon Rally. They are on You Tube telling us about their stupidity.

What is the purpose of showing a cropped image of part of the crowd? Do you imagine in your diseased brain that we cannot see that trees are blocking the view?

So many rallies, so little education, so many war plans.

More importantly, it offers no solutions to the problems of their donors.

This is a ‘wait and see’ because at the end of it all giving a huge tax break to the top 1% is the end goal.

Say, isn't the anti-oligarchy tour going to hit any states in the South? The South needs their message more than anybody. It's not a futile effort like it once was -- many southern states went for Obama.

I was gobsmacked to learn that they sold out an arena in feckin' IDAHO last week.

For two years now, the coward formerly known as Vetteman has insisted that Idaho consists of nothing but manly pseudo-patriots such as himself, virtually all of them heavily armed, living "off the grid" and surviving on Dinty Moore beef stew made over campfires adjacent to heavily fortified armories.
