Stories with cheaters and cuckolding seem to get raked over the coals. What if I entitled a story "Adultery" and placed a disclaimer in the first line:

"Yes, you read that correctly. This story is about two consenting adults who cheat on their spouses."

What would the response be? If I were to write it, I'm thinking Erotic Couplings. Would that be worthwhile or would I get a thousand BTB coments?

Thanks, QM

Trolls hate being trolled, so the response would be...not good.

But there are millions of stories on the site clearly and proudly about adultery, so write what you want to write.

People who hate loving wives go out of their way to hate it. They know exactly what they're getting into when they click the title. Many of them do it just to 1 bomb the story.

What if the angle of the story was that one partner cheated so the other was allowed to in order to make things even?

...only one way to find out, OP. Know what I'm saying?

Give it a whirl.
If you put it anywhere but Loving Wives, you'll have a better chance. I've been there twice, but I knew what to expect. It turned out that the scores were a bit better than the comments would have indicated, and I got some Favorites too. There might be a Silent Majority over there.

Dropping it into Erotic Couplings at least gives you a bit of a barrier against the LW fraternity, since they don't seem to wander too far over the bridge spanning The Great Divide.

Wouldn't do any good. Understand there are two types of these trolls, the ones who will bomb and comment nastily on anything with cheating because they hate it (at least the wife cheating, I'm sure most of these moral 'men' would cheat in a heartbeat) so your warning just saves them reading the story before they rant.

The second are the masochists who know they hate these stories, but can't help reading them, then get upset they read them and trash you for their issues.

Its a sick sad disgusting lot who couldn't be happier these days in a country where women are losing their rights and incels are running wild assaulting women and people think rape, abuse, and now forced breeding are a joke.

Hell, someone send these stories to your local senator so they can consider hot wives can also be made illegal and jailed for it.

Whew...not easy being this nasty at 5am, but hate only responds to hate and I live to run into these people in person. That's easier said than done though because these cowards only talk behind their keyboard

If I ever go down this route I'll probably make a separate account for adultery stories. The misogynist trolls are spiteful enough to go to your page and down vote other stories too.

That said, I'm growing less attached to scores day by day, the more I see of the shenanigans some writers get up to to maintain high scores (not all, obvs, but there is some hot shite on here 🔥💩 where the score simply cannot be genuine.)

I've tried posting my "lifestyle" stories of a swinger couple in Erotic Couplings, Mature, Group Sex, and even the latest in Romance.

The haters still 1-bomb them (the latest within the first few hours of publishing in Romance) and still leave nasty comments. You just won't get as many views as you do in Loving Wives.

It took me over a year to get over it. But now I find pleasure in poking them with yet another "My wife looked at me and smiled as she was being pounded by my friend's stiff cock."

So, I recommend writers just get over it, and appreciate that the swinger/adultery/lifestyle/sharing stories are entertaining the haters in their own way. If your story rates over 3.5 in Loving Wives after a few weeks, it's good.

My latest attempt to poke at the trolls is a story I've written for the October challenge "Amorous Goods". I try different ways of framing the couple's relationship. This time I'll call her a slut in the story to see how the trolls react.

*****
“When you said drive, I almost forgot. Troy gave me a ride to the airport,” she admitted “and I talked him into one final blowjob in the cellphone parking area. But he was spent and couldn’t cum anymore before I had to go in to catch my flight.”

“Why you slut,” I said in a joking tone and smiled. “Our same room rule is back in effect! If you want a do-over, we’ll need to discuss what you’ll owe me for the hall pass extensions.”

Excuse my language, but they can go f______ themselves if they don't like it. (Couldn't even bring myself to use the word in a message, although I have used it in stories.)

You will have far fewer readers if you publish it in Erotic Couplings. Loving Wives is the second most popular category at Literotica (possibly third if one counts Illustrated). Erotic Couplings is far down the list.

You have to pick your poison:

A) Loving Wives. Where it rightfully belongs, and with the biggest possible appreciative readership, but also with a large group of readers who hate these stories and will give you bad votes and comments. You will pick up more views, votes, and favorites if you pick this.

B) Erotic Couplings. A much smaller readership, but probably with fewer negative readers and fewer (but probably still some) nasty comments. Fewer views, votes, and favorites, but probably a higher score.

I'd pick (A), but that's just me.

There’s always the option to turn off scores and comments.
Never; I want to hear what they have to say if anything. I will delete a quote only if it's completely rambling nonsense, which does happen sometimes. There was one anonymous guy who, based on his content and tone, seemed to be following me around. I think I ignored him rather than deleting him, and he went away. I think it was the responses that gave him the hit he was looking for.

Yes, LW is indeed very popular. On my first foray into there, I got 44,000 views, 340 votes, and 30 comments - perhaps close to records for me. And I said that the scores will be a bit better than the comments would seem to indicate.

This is a good point. There are SOME hot wife/adultery stories that get good scores--probably because they get enough positive votes to drown out the haters.

I sometimes write hot wife stories, often with exhibitionist themes, so I post them in Exhibitionism, and they've done quite well, with relatively few hate comments. But in the OP's case, if you're going to call it "Adultery," I'd say just bite the bullet and put the story where it's really meant to be--LW.

As for scores in LW... why do we, the writers even care about scores? I kinda do, but after all is said and done, I don't really give a crap.

As for comments, I read them, have a good laugh at the ones from men who are cuckolds bitchin' about how they hate wimps and cheating wives. Then I delete them and move on to the next one.

Sometimes I do wish when I delete the joke of a comment that the score associated with that comment also got deleted, but that's a wish that will never come true.

As said before, 'haters will hate' and I know a comment from someone like, "I hate this cucky shit" is just from some poor slob whose wife cheated on him and probably left him for greener pastures.

I think those highly rated LW hot wife stories depend on the POV.

An accepting or humiliated husband's POV gets the 1-bombs. But if told from the lover's POV, they seem to accept that and at least rate them 3 or above, as if "show that wimp husband what a real man is like!"

Could be. My impression is that the most triggering thing for this crowd is humiliation: if the story portrays the husband as being humiliated and the wife getting away with it, they go ballistic. But there are some readers that won't tolerate ANY adultery in which the wife "gets away" with it.

It's not just humiliation. They hate ANY consensual sharing, even when the husband is getting the other wife in a swinger foursome.

For some perverted reason, those haters believe a marriage license is a lifetime ownership contract and must include exclusive use of the spouse's genitals.
