For light comedy, just fun to watch, these two films are superb.

But…this being Literotica…I noticed a similarity with Cary Grant and Leslie Caron in “Father Goose”, and Cary Grant and another female in “Operation Petticoat”, that was just too cute to just pass by.

It is a moment of exquisite awareness and surprise when a chance encounter elicits an automatic and completely natural response in the loins from Cary Grant. His expression is priceless and albeit, identical, (they are films after all) in both instances, but still, greatly amusing.

Wonder if anyone else ever noticed?

Amicus….

"Goody Two Shoes and the Filthy Beast..."

One of my very favorites. I haven't watched Operation Petticoat in a long time. I'll have to watch it again soon and see.

He was at heart a Vaudevillian. I think he was a brilliant comic.

I love anything with Cary Grant. My favorites are 'Penny Serenade' and, of course, 'An Affair to Remember.' I'm just a sucker for that kind of stuff. The funny thing is, I don't believe I've seen either of the films you mention, Amicus.

I would imagine that, "Charade" with the lovely Audrey Hepburn would be on your list also.

I have that movie, but I don't really remember it. I should check it out again. What is it about Audrey Hepburn anyway? I liked her best as Holly Golightly. :)

These were both great movies. One of the best lines I remember is at the end of Petticoat. The captain of the destroyer is handed the extra large bra and he looks at it and says something like "The Japanese have nothing like this."

Ah, the girl of my dreams the lovely, fragile, petite, always innocent looking Audrey Hepburn. I think of all her films, the one with Gregory Peck, where she is a runaway princess or something is the most delightful.

such a deal...

thankyou

Ah, yes, Box, I chuckled at that line also. But, to repeat myself, when Grant is standing behind Leslie Caron, teaching her to fish with her hands and gets that look of 'arousal' on his face, and then again when the big breasted nurse rubs up against him in the confined corridor of the submarine, that same look and I just cracked up.

Thanks...

You really need to go out of your way to see them. Although both are hysterical in their own way, I'd say Operation Petticoat is the better choice to watch first. Cary Grant was brilliant and played off of Tony Curtis perfectly.

So strange, S-Des...I thought Cary Grant and Leslie Caron were just perfect foils in Father Goose and would recommend that one first...but ah, well, thas what makes the world go round....differences, I guess...

I think because of the children involved, that one seems a bit more for the whole family. OP could be rereleased today and would still be better than most of the crap that's out there. You can't go wrong either way, but I love the way Grant smacks Curtis around. The one liners were just amazing. . . . When a girl is under 21, she's protected by law. When she's over 65, she's protected by nature. Anywhere in between, she's fair game. Look out. :D

Now that you've said that, I think I might have seen Operation Petticoat a long time ago. Definitely need to see it again.

Another hilarious one with Cary Grant is "Gunga Din" ....I laughed til I cried...a few times watching reruns of it as well. If you haven't seen it, SEE it!

Here...for the Audrey lovers...I am one as well! No one quite like her really. :) The original I have is much larger which is much better but it is really too large for here! You can easily double the size of this and then double it again I think!

That's cute, Poppy. Such a beautiful long neck. :) I think I'd like to see her eyes though.
