In April, the scheduled elections for town offices in Monticello, Wis., never took place because, as Town Clerk Walt Weber told Milwaukee's Journal Sentinel, "We forgot." (According to Weber, none of the incumbents, including himself, would have been challenged anyway.) [Milwauke Journal Sentinel, 4-18-05]

They forgot? It's Wisconsin... what the hell else did they have to do?

Well, the school board is corrupt, the mayor powerless and I don't even know who the Clerk is. Theschool borad will get reelected no matter what scandal arises, no one other than the mayor wants the job and what does the Clerk do anyway?

;)

You guys have way too many elections for way too many offices anyway.

In other news, I just got elected king of my castle. Got all the votes. Yay for me.

Somewhere in Washington, "Forget to hold the election. Yeah, that's the ticket. No more pesky Twenty-second amendment , or pesky voters even."
