Eeep! I didn't mean to make a new thread and now I can't figure out how to make it stop! I'm such a virgin.

Excuse me.

You can cite Peter Murphy but not Bauhaus? Why not Morrissey without The Smiths?

Bauhaus isn't really that depressing/broody. But I did forget about The Smiths! Argh. There is no conclusiveness in my ardent rambling! Bauhaus to me is more punk than goth to begin with and if we're doing brood... that's not really broody. But it is angsty! But I think she wanted sad songs.

Angst, not morose. I would pretty much agree with that. Just thought it was fun to see a name I recognized from my "black jeans and t shirt in the corner of the coffeehouse" days.

I like Bauhaus, Murphy solo or Love N Rockets.

On the other hand, I adore the Smiths. (but find solo Morrissey dissapointing)

Yeah, I never got into solo Morrisey. Maybe it just wasn't the right time for that anymore? Or he just needed a little or a lot of balance.

Many years ago I saw Peter Murphy live at this little club in Houston. Jewel opened for him. *snorts*

I actually hadn't meant to start a new thread with that post. But at least I got to meet another Bauhaus lover :)

psst... btw... Bela Lugosi is dead.
