This is a new one. Tell me what you think.

Oooh..Mistress
thrashing,
writhing,
quivering,
shuttering,
bucking,
snaking,
dripping...
submitting to you.

Tie me up, tie me down. Do what you will, just fuck me now.-CC69

It is interesting and somewhat descriptive, but I would not call it poetry.

Regards, Rybka

Not poetry?

If you don't think that's poetry, you should hear it in the bedroom and perhaps you would change that opinion. :rose:

I'm sure in the bedroom it's poetry in motion. lol

Someone posted a poem last year that's similar to this one. It was a list poem. Anyone familiar with those? I haven't read anything about them. There was a lot of debate as to whether or not it was truly a poem.

Hard to argue what is "a poem" and what is not. Fast and furious--just like I like it. Short and too the point. It's poetry in my book!

I'm with Lick... :p

Why wouldn't it be poetry? And quite good actually. I've got a few list poems of my own. I'll try polish and bring them to the forum.

Thank you Lauren

I'm sure they don't need polishing. I'm glad someone out there liked it.

Thanks again Lauren, Eve and of course, Lick :rose:  xoxoxo

I think the poem is great. Short poems have always existed, because sometimes, the fewer words you use, the better. Japanese Haiku is a perfect example of how short poems can be great. And list poems can be great because they express emotions in a simple, straight forward manner that everyone can understand.

Just to get home

Words are nothing more and nothing less than what we are willing to take from them.

I Speak With a List

I wrote a list poem once but it had more words per line.
I don't care. Put words next to each other or

one
atop
another

and call it a poem or what ever and it is what ever it is. Also wonderful.
How about two word poems?

Thoughtfully,
Fallen.

The ultimate conclusion of this

is one- letter poetry, where the title might be longer than the poem. For example:

Zen Poem

b

Some days everything from the letter "b" to the way the light hits my daughter's hair is poetry to me. I guess that would cover your poem, too Christcat! And Rybka, your poem with the line "tequila mockingbird" was very short and I loved it.
