OOC -- "Wronged"

This is just a place for me to put information I don't want to forget, not really a working OOC for the role play.

TIME, SETTING, ETC.:

• The place is a fantasy land in the days of old, when royals and nobles did as the pleased and the peasantry did as they must.
• Our role play begins on a warm, late September day.

CHARACTERS:

• Anya
• Count Brett of the House of Turpine.
• Grann:
  • Anya's step father and former (first) lover.
  • Was complicit in her selling to the sex slavers. (See Post #1.)
• Flayn
  • Anya's mother.
  • Flayn holds title to her farm, not Grann. If Grann were to leave her, he would end up a farm worker or fisherman or, worse, a soldier in the armies currently at war on the far side of the Empire.

SOCIETY:

• THE CHURCH:
  • It is the most significant institution in the lives of the peasantry.
  • In Post #1 we see that the reason Grann was willing to let Anya be enslaved is that to be exposed to The Church as the lover of his wife's child would mean life in a Church labor camp.
  • While the peasantry thinks of the Church as the greater power, the Church is actually a slave to the nobility, the true power in the world.
