OOC: World of Darkness

Hello there folks.


Welcome to the World of Darkness, a world not so unlike our own. Many things are still the same. The same movies still play, the same songs are still popular, and the same people that hold stardom and fame, still do in this world.


But one thing is different.


The supernatural. Vampires, werewolves, mages, ghosts and goblins if you will. They are real. All of them. A veil of secrecy hides these creatures from human eyes. A masqurade, a curtain, a shroud. Night holds precidence over day. The creatures of the night rule the cities, and battle amongst themselves, as well as with the humans. And here, we bring you to New York City. A city with as much diversity in supernaturals as with the humans. Vampire's reign supreme here, and werewolves hold strong to what little they can. Mages cant be counted out, however. Growing with population in each passing night, the get stronger and stronger.



So please, come join me in a tale of gothic horror. Any and all are welcome.

Valdimer Elsworth



The last suriviving member of his clan, the Capadocians, Valdimer has been around for centuries. A former prince of New York, now turned Justicar, a ranking much higher than that of the prince, Valdimer currently resides in a club called Deviant. A major night spot for supernaturals, Valdimer's club is held as a type of sanctuary. Standing around 6 feet tall, and whieghing in at almost 220 lbs, Valdimer's body is well toned. A long tale resides in Valdimer...of the actions that have taken place over the last three years of his undead life. Ruling with an iron fist, Valdimer's enemys fall as swiftly as they come. And he has many. He takes what he wants, and destroys what he does not care to have. There are few he holds as loyal and close to him, and even those few people have left his side from time to time. A powerful vampire, his name strikes fear into those that even hear it whispered.

A mage, with the tradition The Sons of Ether, James,as you can see, is an extreme star trek freak. Dabbling in the sphere of matter, James has a massive control over matter. Standing around 5'11" and whieghing roughly 180lbs, James has short blonde hair, and blue eyes. Well defined, but not overly built, James is the happy go lucky type of person. Carefree, and layed back, he prefers to let the world pass him by, with him as the spectator. A former employee of Valdimer's, James has been on the run from him for the past 3 years.

Ivory has always had this bad habit of being at the wrong place at the wrong time...and the last year and a half has been no exception. Walking alone, after her car broke down...she came in contact (her first ever) with two vampires....and at that moment her life and destiny were changed. A whirlwind romance, a brutal beating, and then later giving birth to her son, never knowing that the father of her child and owner of her heart still lived....

Yet she survived it all to be reunited with the man she loved. But they know their troubles are far from over... the man that wants them dead is still out there... waiting...

I've got a general idea on where I want things to go in this thread, but I'd like to see who's interested in joining, so I can complelty work out the plot before we get started. I want all kinds of characters. Heros, villians, humans, vampires, werewolves, mages, what have you. Anything you can think of. I'm open to pretty much everything, hehehe. Now, there are three previous threads to this story, but dont let that scare you. This is a totally new story, with all new characters, save for the ones above. But, if you're interested in reading those other threads, myself, or Jaded would be more than happy to send a copy of them to you.



I'd like quite a few people for this...and as I said, all are more than welcome.

Come on in BadMatt! I'll probably give the opening post after I've seen all th bio's and what not, in a little less than a weeks' time. Like I said, I need to see who all's gonna jump on this bandwagon, and get the plot all figured out.

My character is Theodosius (Theo for short)....
He's a 6' 200lbs Gangrel and an ex Silent Strider. He was turned just before his 28th birthday almost 225 years ago. The offending Gangrel was overwhelmed by the power of the Werewolf blood and in his overenjoyment, he himself was drained by his Childe. Theo spent years trying to fit in, but the Striders wouldn't have him back and he didn't know any other vampires. All of that changed at the beginning of the 20th century when the world crept in on his hunting grounds outside Chicago. He has since learned much about both sides of his unlife and but very little about the power that comes with his age, as his teachers have most often been much younger.

He enters the city as a relative unknown, mostly clanless except for the very few Gangrel who he's met in his travels, all of whom are younger and have sworn to help how they can.

Name: Dallas Marchand
Age: 21

Dallas is a bartender at a local club, Thirteen (this name can be changed!). She protrays herself to be very confident, self assured but deals with constant inner turmoil. She keeps mostly to herself, trusting none.

She was born of an orphan. Her mother passed while she was in labour with Dalia and her father was never to be found. She was moved from foster home after foster home, finally running off at the tender age of sixteen and fending for herself until she finally settled in New York City.

She started working at the club just because she was there all the time and one of the other 'tenders took her under their wing. She's of mixed race, black hair with reddish streaks, stunning green eyes, about 125lbs, and 5'9".
