The basis for the story line is below. I would like any and all readers to comment here in the OOC on the thread itself or any ideas or suggestions you may have.

Other characters will be needed as the thread goes along but before posting to the IC please pm me first with your character idea. All supporting characters must fit the story line and fit in with the action going on.

Okey, you know how it us. When the fun stops. Something has to give. Something always does. Well, when the fun stops, sometimes you find yourself wondering how you got where you are. Who you got there with, and what happened along the way.

Arianne Baker tried to walk the straight and narrow path. She was always doing the right thing, never waivering from what her idea of God was. She lived by the scriptures and lived her life in church. Growing up in Twin Pines, Tennessee, she had never a chance to experience much.

After her brother Mark was killed violently just down from there house one night, she began to wonder about the prescence of God in reality. No one knew what killed him. His eyes were gone, his heart burned, his body untouched.

Not long after that, she took a job in the church parish and soon she found herself on the mean streets of New York. Three months into the job, they sent her on retreat to a place of cleansing. She was not ready for the path it sent her on. A path she could not walk back down or walk away from.

Arianne Baker
31
Brunette with blue eyes. 5'7 slightly plump. She dressed the part. Long skirts and shirts, sins of the flesh were better left untempted, wore her long hair up in a tight bun and horn rimmed glasses to hide her eyes.

Carried a bag containing a bible, a rosary, and a letter written my her brother.

David Anders, age 25
6'4, red/brown hair, dark brown eyes behind wire rim glasses

All through his teenage years, David had been the quintessiencial outcast. What few friends he had were only his friends because nobody else wanted them, and they formed a sad little group, pitiful but never pitied. David was eternally single, aside from a brief relationship with one of the girls he hung around with, Rachel, until someone told her she could do better and she chose to see if that were true.

This trend of solitude continued on into his early twenties until David discovered a group that did accept him, even so far as welcomed him among them. He took pride in his place within the group, and before long he caught the attention of the group leader who took David under his wing as a sort of second in command...an apprentice to be guided and molded into something more than he had been before.

Here at last, David felt at home, among a new found family.

Mathew White age 38
Red hair green eyes 6’0
The son of a minister and the daughter of the mayor Mathew, was destined for great things in his small town. Only he longed for more at a young age he found that he could influence other people. He did average threw highs school were he formed a small prayer group. After high school he went to college then came home and took over the local church form his ailing mother. Since then he has looked into darker aspects of the bible and has gathered a small following.

Name: Persis

Age: 21

She was 5 5", dark green eyes, with pin straight black hair alway kept at shoulder-length. Slender, athletic, but also didn't lack curves. Throughout highschool and college, she had been popular; but not the loud-snaphappy-stuck up-rich kind of popular, no, actually she could count on one hand those who actually knew her. Of course that didn't include the members of the only place she called home.

Persis was very quiet and sarcastic, more the observer than anything else, but it was this attitude of hers that fed the mystery which surrounded her life. You'd never catch her dressed in bright colours, she prefered black jeans, fishnet stockings, dark boots, jean skirts, net tops, and the such - though that is as outwardly goth as she got. Family... what family? Her father had died when she was a few months old, and mother was a drunkard for as long as she could remember. Consequently, Persis had learned at a tender age to fend for herself, she lived in a one-bedroom apartment working from home to make ends meet.

The darker side to life had always appealed to her, somehow the shining church-going throng never did suffice, so when she did find others who saw life the very same way she did, she never looked back. It had been a year since that night, and she had learned so much... teamwork, devotion, loyalty, and most of all..sacrifice. There are things in life that need to be given up for a greater good (or evil) and she was no stranger to that concept.

Ursula Verone
Age: mid-80's
Hair: white shoulder length
Eyes: light blue
Height 5'3" (appears to be 5'0" due to postural kyphosis)
Weight: thin

Ursula is a devout church goer. If the doors are open, she is pushing her catatonic husband in his wheelchair through the double-wide doors. Also, she seems completely oblivious to the fact he doesn't move or talk. She speaks with an undefinable foreign accent describing all the activities they do together as she attempts to feed him at potlucks. She knits dollies for women at church for an excuse to visit them, leads the women's study group and plays the organ for Sunday services. She seems like a sweet, lonely older woman.

I don't really know how you guys want to organize the retreat. I took the liberty to fill in some things in my last post, but if it goes against plans feel free to let me know. I'll change it up so it fits.

Nope it was fine. I think once we get the central posts going, I think we will be just fine. And I know it will be slow, so our posts may need to carry lots of details so everyone can keep up
