Ooc: War of the Foxes

Yep, another anime style thread made by Hybird!

In the days long ago, not too long after the begining of mankind, there consisted a war between three clans. These clans were foxes that were able to take shape of humans, but we now call these beast Kitsunes, or As others call them, Were-foxes. These clans were the Ho (Fire) Fox Clan, the Kage (Shadow) Fox clan, and the Raijin (Lightning) fox clan. These three clans raged the war for hundreds, thousands, of years, using powerful magic against each other. This magic also brung the end of the clans major branches.

Today there are still Ho, Kage, and Raijin clan decendents are around today. Most living in peace not knowing that they not only have the powers to destroy the earth, but also the old war that nearly killed them... Rages on.

Basic info on the three clans:

This is basic info on the three clans, all contain extreamly powerful, yet equal magic. Also, all three can turn into giant foxes that are the size of an adult wolf.

Ho Clan: They are usauly calm and kind torwards people, but when it comes to fighting its enemy, the fire fox can be very vicious and powerful. Their main powers are Fire type abiliaties and various psychic powers. They usauly have an orange or white colored fur.

Kage Clan: This clan is much more devious than the Ho clan, because they could melt into shadows, or teleport when they are in dark areas. Unlike the Ho clan, they mainly master both black, and blue magic, which give the Ho clan an major disadvantage. When these shadow people change into their fox forms, it is said that they could change into either Black or grey foxes, yet it is not sure because most people do not live long enough to see them change into foxes.

Raijin Clan: Considered the neutral of the clans because they do not side with neither of the two stronger foxes. The Raijin are the most skilled in stealth and lightning tatics and are often the ones that keep both the Ho and Kage clans in check. Other than that, not much is known.

Hokage foxes: Nothing is really know about the foxes, but it is said that the Ho and the Kage originate from these foxes

Each person can have more than one character, (actualy, I'm hoping that people take more than one) from either the Ho, Raijin, or Kage clan. Or you can be an human. Here's one of my characters as an example:

Name: Kai Inferno
Race: Kitsune of the Ho Clan
Age: Just turned 18
Eyes:Crush orange
Hair: Semi short, wild hair.
Weapon: Not know as of yet.

Bio: Kai is the younger of the two inferno brothers. Ironicly, after the death of their parents, he became the more mature of the two brothers, while his brother started to disapere more and more during the nightime. Little does Kai know, his 18'th birthday will also show him the secret of his family, and about himself.

I think I'll go for a female Raijin fox, if you don't mind. Always like being the moderator...

And by Blue Magic, for the Kage foxes, do you mean water/ice powers? Cuz you said it left the Ho fox clan at a disadvantage, so that's what I assumed. Just wanted to clarify, though. Final Fantasy thinks differently and all.

And do you have any ideas on the environment? Like, how do the humans live? I assume it's feudal Japan technology, etc., but what's the culture? It'd be cool if there were samurai and ninja humans and stuff in against to fox-people. Are there demons? Are kitsune considered demons? And any other animal-people?

Okay, blue is basicly lighting, water/ice, and wind. But it often majors in healing for the advanced foxes.

As for the setting its modern day, I haven't decided on which major city it would be, I'll probaly make one up. Since this thread is mythology base, other mythology creatures such as the Kappa, and were-wolf do exist, (I forgot to mention that.) The kitsunes are considered demons, yet at the same time, they are not. Some call them fox-spirits, aother call them demons, whatever you like is your choice.

And Jc, this is my thread we're talking about. Of course there are ninjas and samurais! Just remember its modern day.

...hmmm... so are humans able to be super-powered then, too? Or how do ninja and samurai work in the thread?

If it was feudal, it would be too easy for the kitsunes, since its modern day, it will be more of an challenge for them.

Very few humans are able to be super powered. (Jc, you were in HSB with cats and I, so why are you asking how ninjas and samurais fit in?)

If it was modern and there were no super powers, it'd be like Earth today, right?

Anyway, humanity's advantage is usually just "There are lots of us compared to you".

(Jc... You know I don't like setting down too many rules.) Okay, to make this a bit more simple, (or complex...) how about humans are able to use magic of the sort, just not as strong.

Ninjas, well thats simple, just consider modern day mercenarys, only not equiped with so many high tech gear. Samurais... (ehhhhhh...) Use your imagination.

Name(s): Thunder and Lightning(you know it would come lol)
Ages: not tellin nya nya
Hair: both black
eyes: one bright blue,other a deep brown/green
build: slender but muscled
Descr.: Thunder and Lightning are Not brothers(my twist)they are brother and sister,Thunder being the male,and Lightning being the female of the two.They Are twins,with Thunder being more serious and calm,and Lightning(as her name)is generally Very random and tends to act on impulse(hence leaping before looking).Thunder's prefered mode of fighting is from a distance,striking with magical "arrows"that make a large explosion(as in BOOM)or any other effect he put in it at hte moment.He Does have to have a few choices of attack ya know.Lightning uses blades strapped to her arms,legs,in her hair,her boot(alla round),most of which are slid into small catches that she cna open at any time.She charges the blades with searing electricity for a few seconds at a time when she strikes,making it as if lightning struck(duh).She is impossibly quick,barely even a blur to most eyes.They tend to dress closely togehtor,mostly in black or another solid color.Thunder is more somber and less inclined to join in any form of fun,but Lightning tends to stay out late,drinking herself itno a stupor and partying until she passes out.They tease and seem to outright hate each otehr at times,but they deeply care for another.Their parents were kileld by the masked demon hunter known only as Dagger.

magic: only enough to sense others,and a few symbols to protect
Description: The much much much much diluted blood of a demon hunter from Japan runs through Dan,who is an American who went to Japan to follow his family tree.He witnessed a demon(one of the kitsunes)kill a distant family member,and also met and became friends with a secretive man known only as Dagger(i don't know many japanese names,sue me-_-),who was a demon hunter,and the two became fast friends.A few years ago Dagger was killed brutally by one of the demons,and Dan has taken it upon himself to kill every demon he finds until he finds and avenges Dagger's killer.Uses the codename Rapier and hunts demons.

Bio: Gunther is the older of the two brothers. Although hje seems to be very irresponsible, Gunther is defintetly the more the more intelegent of the two brothers, and is considered one of the most dangerous Ho clan members to the Kage. Gunthers main goal is to keep his parents promiss and make sure that Kai...

Race: Kitsune of the Rajin clan
Eyes: Ice-blue
Hair: wild-blue
Weapon: Psy gloves

Bio: Raijun Kenji, considered to be one of the last of the main line of Raijin. Even though he supposes to have the responsibility to lead the Raijin to victory, Kenji left the undground network, and is currently living on the surface. Where he is, and why he left is still uknown.

Chibi madness! I missed the chibi madness!?

Alright! If it's gonna be like this, I'll have to make two characters -- that Raijin girl fox and a girl human! Just so I can define for myself what it must be like for a human to live in this sort of world. Maybe I'll even give her subtle magic powers like you suggested some might have, Hy.

As soon as I can get back on the internet, anyway... ;_;

So Hy, humans KNOW that Kitsunes exist?

And maybe, if we're going to have modern samurai, they can be like Shadowrun samurai. With, like, guns. And razor claws. And swords. And bushido. And motorcycles.

There are few people that know of the war, let alone Kitsunes. Whatever way you want samurai, go ahead, just don't make them all-powerful.
