OOC -Victorian

Hey, I had a great idea for a dark romance thread involving the type of creepy Victorian secret-society cloak-and-dagger crap that I love. About 2 rich families that are neighbors. The father of one of the families dies, leaving his daughter alone with some random horrible guardian. The son of the other family becomes increasingly obsessed with the daughter, they discover some horrible secret that binds their families together, then people start trying to kill them.
I'd just need one guy to start out with, but the possibility for scads of evil British people to turn up would be extraordinary.
I'm just throwing it out there. Let me know if you think I've completely lost my mind.

Just to clarify (since no one seems to be interested) the period would NOT have to be Victorian. It's the Victorian sensibility I'm looking for, like in the Quincunx, or the Moonstone...
So....if anyone's read either of those remarkable novels, get back to me.
I'm just throwing out ideas.

I did love that feel of life, as if everything had to do with scandal and intrigue.

I'm not quite sure what you had in mind, but i'd definitely be up for a round of fun, good guy or bad...
