It is an overstated fact that the human condition is the greatest paradox of all. Torn between the power to create and the instinct to consume, makes manking one of the most agressive animals. The duality of man plays womb to Vice and virtue alike. What they
couldn't imagine is that sometimes the taint of vice is so strong that it bleeds over from the philosophical realm into physical reality. When a vice becomes strong enough, it manifests physically in the shape of spirit similar to the muses of Greek time.
Some call this type of muse a demon, devil, evil spirit, or just temptation it self.This muse, a being that is created in the physical world, is the epitome of the vice that it hails from, even
their appearance is shaped in the image of the corruption it represents.
How does mankind stand a chance against these creatures that not only exist, but walk among us? Like all things, including the duality of man, there is more than one side to the story.
Every Vice that is born has a twin soul that is ushered into existence at the same moment. This twin soul, a second muse of a different type, is known as a Virtue. Like its Vice counterpart, this muse portrays all the characteristics of the Virtue it represents. They exist only to temp or save humanity.
This is how the Proxy War began. They call it the Proxy War because no Vice or Virtue directly seeks to destroy the other. But why you may ask? The reason for this is because each corresponding Vice or Virtue is directly linked to their twin soul. To destroy a Vice directly would be the end of existence for its twin Virtue as well.
The only choice both sides have is to coax humanity into their corner. Only when humanity, as a whole, cleanses the world of a taint will a virtue be allowed to remain after a Vice has been destroyed. There in lies another paradox, because as long as a virtue exists, there is the possibility for a Vice to be resurrected. This doesn't seem to bother either Vice or Virtue. Perhaps because it is in their very essence to continue this epic drama. The only thing that is certain is that Only through the cultivation of mortals may the war ever be resolved.
Neither Vice nor Virtue can remember where they came from. Some Virtues believe rumors that they were created by god, and are in fact a lost sect of the angelic choir. Some Vices
believe that they sprung forth from the mind of the first humans, perhaps that is why there is always a female and male muse assigned to each corresponding vice or virtue. These vices
believe that if man created them, then they must serve and obey by continuing to lead man down the path to their own destruction. Whatever the origin, there are two muses who may
hold the answers. They are the first Vice and Virtue.
All Vices and all virtues have a Domain that all other Vices, or all other Virtues have access to with only a thought of wanting to be there. Each individual muse may choose to
have a separate haven, but eventually all matters are decided inside of the Domain.

1) Every Vice must have a corresponding Virtue. Each pair contains a female and a male muse. The first option to play is to control both the Vice AND the Virtue (it doesn't matter which
sex is chosen to be the Vice and which is chosen to portray the Virtue.)
2) The second option is to create either a Vice or Virtue and have ANOTHER play
control the corresponding Virtue or Vice. Remember that if you are opting to work with
another player, one of you must play and female and the other a male.
3) the third optionis to play a mortal. In this case you can post OOC that you are seeking specific Vices or Virtues. Please, Only 1 pair of Vice and Virtue should pursue a mortal at one time. Please be courteous of this fact. Remember the most appropriate Vice or Virtue pair should be the most powerful vice or virtue that compels the mortal.

===A) Vice/Virtue===
1) REAL Name of character: (The name should reflect which Vice or Virtue is being represented. For example, if the vice is "Vanity" Then the name should be something similar to: Vanity Vice and the Virtue name should be something similar to: Modesty Virtue. You may use whatever synonyms that you like as long as we can get the basic concept just by the name.)
2) Vice/Virtue: (Please submit at leased a paragraph explaining what Vice or Virtue you have chosen, and explain in detail what the chosen vice means to the muse. Please remember that
while many vices or virtues may seem similar and encompass many things try to be as specific as possible as to what area your character specializes in.)
3) Vice/Virtue Appearance: (Vices or Virtues have the ability to change their exterior appearance. While they can not assume the form of another person, they can chance their hair color, eyes, markings, and size, so long as it is still equivalent to a minimum of a mortal child to the maximum of a mortal" giant". This section should describe what the Vice or Virtues TRUE appearance is. Remember even their appearance should reflect their appropriate vice or virtue.)
4) Powers(1/varies) Banes (1/varies):

a) Teleportation: With a thought they may reach their destination.
Notes/Limitations:
- The Vice/Virtue must have already visited the location physically, or have some item that has a STRONG residence from the location.
- All Vices/Virtues are allowed to teleport at any time back to the appropriate Domain, but neither can enter the Domain of the other. When they must meet, they meet in the physical
world. Once every 500 years both houses will meet in a mutual domain called the Social. This mutual domain is set only by the first Vice and the First Virtue.
b) Glamour Change: Vices/Virtues have the ability to change their outward appearance.
Notes/Limitations:
- Vices or Virtues have the ability to change their exterior appearance. While they can not
assume the form of another person, they can chance their hair color, eyes, markings, and
size, so long as it is still equivalent to a minimum of a mortal child to the maximum of a
mortal" giant".
- They can not change the appearance of others.
- Under times of great stress the glamour change may fade.
c) Immortality: All Vices/Virtues are Immortal.
Notes/Limitations:
- Both can be killed by at the price of killing their Twin Soul along with them. It is
forbidden on BOTH sides to outwardly destroy any muse.
- The only other real way a Vice/Virtue may die is when the entire human race eliminates one or the other. Perhaps they were given forever because such a feat should take forever.
d) Empathy: While Vices/Virtues can not read the minds of others, they do have an uncanny sense of the emotional state of their chosen subject. The can detect lies, sense distress,
and even pick up residue from POWERFUL memories and old emotional wounds. This also allows Vices/Virtues to locate appropriate mortals who request/open themselves to influence.
Notes/Limitations:
- This ability may be used on other Vices/Virtues.
e) Ghosting: All Vices/Virtues may pass through physical barriers.
Notes/Limitations:
- When assuming the ghosting form, all Vices/Virtues revert back to their True appearance.
When ghosting, the muse is undetectable by the human eye, including all forms of technology.
- Animals, sensitive types (like psychics), and Other Vices/Virtues can see the muse when ghosting.
- This power should NEVER be activated in front of mortal eyes.
===Each vice/Virtue has these Banes (weaknesses) just by race alone:===
a) No Vice/Virtue has the ability to tempt/inspire any mortal who is in the middle of
genuine prayer. Meaning prayer that has a true spiritual merit.
b) No Vice/Virtue may enter a holy place (of all religions) unless first invited in by a
mortal. Although, it's not below a Vice to trick a mortal into the invitation.
c) No Vice/Virtue can physically harm a mortal, although they do have the ability to make
physical contact with the mortal.
d) Every Vice or Virtue is connected to its Twin soul. Any harm or pleasure that comes to
one will be experienced by the other. In some cases it has been known for a muse to aid their Twin Soul in order to ensure their own survival. This is only when the Twin Soul comes
into DIRECT PHYSICAL DANGER.
e) No Vice/Virtue can bring physical harm to themselves willingly.
===Each Muse is also usually gifted with 1 additional Power that MUST also have an Equal Bane. ===
You may have as many powers as you want, BUT EACH POWER MUST HAVE AN EQUAL BANE THAT MUST BE PLAYED OUT. These Gifts MUST NOT CONFLICT WITH THE LIMITATIONS OF POWERS ALREADY LISTED ABOVE.

with the muse's Twin soul.)
