OOC thread for “A porn star is born”

This is the planning thread for a new thread that I’ll be starting soon called “A porn star is born”. This SRP looks like it’ll require some planning, so I started this OOC thread so things don’t get dysfunctional.

The main character, Emily (played by StarxChyld), has just moved to a big city university from her home in the mid-west. She is typically innocent, and a bit nieve, but not overly so. Emily comes from a poor family and, although they send her some money and Emily has a few grants, she must work in the university cafeteria to pay expenses. But that cuts into her study time, so after only a few weeks, it’s already affecting her studies. One thing leads to another and eventually Emily has no choice but to pose for a porn web site to pay the bills or quit school.

I’d like this SRP to be more of a character study (shy girl coming of age kind of thing) so don’t expect just sex sex and only sex from this SRP.

I’m (Sail Away) planning on playing the owner of the porn studio. However I just realized that that character will only come up later. First Emily will be checking in to her dorm room and making friends with her room mate, start classes, and start her job at the university cafeteria, maybe she would even find a boyfriend. For the moment I’ll play any needed supporting male roles, boss at work, a teacher etc.

I encourage others to join, but other characters will be on and off roles. Other characters could be, Emily’s boss, teachers, possible boyfriend, and later co-stars at the porn studio. I think I have someone to play Emily’s roommate, but I need to confirm with her.

I’ll start the thread soon; after I get some of the players, characters set up.

If you would like to join this thread please post here. I have a number of characters to fill, but remember most of them are part time characters.

I was thinking how we could get the SRP started. We could start with Emily checking in to her dorm room and meeting her room mate Sera. And Emily starts working at her part time job, going to school, and meeting a few friends etc.

Emily would be in school for a few weeks until she really starts getting behind in her studies; because the low paying job at the school cafeteria that takes away from her home work time. That’s when Emily finds the ad for the adult modeling, and that’s when my character really would come up.

How’s that sound? Any ideas, suggestions would be welcome.

OK, here's an idea for another character -

A French research student, from a rural background, come to big US university to study - and part of his contract states that he has to teach a couple of classes / lead study-groups (whay European universities call tutor groups, but I've no idea what they'd be at Berkley). So, he starts as one of Emily's teachers, takes a shine to her, and most likely something develops.

I'd see an interesting tension between his "exotic worldliness" (he's European, well travelled, a bit older than her), and also his own vulnerability (he's feeling lost in this huge city in this huge country, now starting to teach as well as study) and his attachment to Emily would be hugely romnticised - so he'd freak out when he finds out what she (later) gets involved in. (If he's just an incidental character he can drop out of the story at that point, unless there's a need for him to continue.)

If anyone has a problem with this, or wants me to change anything (very happy to!) then PM me today - I'll take as much guidance on this as people want to give me. Otherwise I'll post his first post tonight or whenever is appropriate.

I think that could be Emily's love interest/boyfriend. I think it makes sense that she would be attracted to someone a little older than herself, yet not too intimidating.

From the start I thought that Emily could find a love interest. She probably had a mild boyfriend or two in high school, but they where just ‘boys’.

Ark I think your character idea is great, but I’d like to make a few subtle changes. I think the timid Emily would have stars in her eyes (sorry for the pun StarXChyld) if a suave, worldly, independent, liberal, European, ‘man’ (about 25 or so) would take a liking to Emily. Later, after they have established a regular relationship, I think a person like that would be surprised to find that Emily is doing porn, but not hold it agents her. I think he’d even support her. Remember Berkley (not to mention California) is very liberal. I’ve never gone to UCB, but I live across the bay from it, about 10 miles north of San Fran. (And yes I do sail on the bay. Have been since before I had my drivers license!)

I was thinking of playing the ‘negative’ from Emily’s parents.

For now, let’s have Emily get settled in the dorm and get to know Sera. Then Emily could go to the cafeteria to meet her new boss. (I’ll play the boss.) Remember, Emily’s counselor set this job up for her. Then Emily could go to the student’s store to get her many books, and she could learn a lesson in economics, …the hard way!

The rest of us could post as, “meanwhile”.

OK - your thread, your call, I'll run with that and for now keep an eye on what Emily's doing. I'll check Lit twice a day (not a permanent internet connection) and try not to drop the ball

I need to have an experienced girl character with a powerful personality as Emily’s first “co-star” in her later on camera porn seens, girl girl seens. (Emily would start by doing a few solo seens.) This girl is also a student, a senior, and has been working for Freddy all the time she’s been in school to pay her way through school. She only works for Freddy when she needs the money. She’s bi and maybe she and Emily even start having an off camera affair. But this character would only come up at lest two weeks from now. Would you be interested?

Nice to hear from you again!

I meant to write in a male character who would be an older pro porn star. You know the kind. Has been in the biz for 10 or 15 years, see him in most porn vids. He would be about late 30’s early 40’s, well built, but a bit sleazy and ruff around the edges. (He’d be really intimidating to little Emily, at first anyway. I thought he would be Emily’s first sexual encounter. However she might do a girl girl seen first, but it could go either way. I’d like Star ("Emily") to decide.) His only job is working in porn vids. Does one or two or more a week, when he gets a call from the studios. The rest of his time in his own. Makes good money from it. Owns a house or two, a BMW, boat. But he would not be working at the book store. Since he is one of the few “pros” Emily would work with him a fare amount. Sound ok to you?

Sounds good to me with some minor mods. Billy is 32 (started at 20), tall, buff, long smooth dark hair in a ponytail, and extremely well hung which makes him intimidating all by itself. He loves to work with newbies and help them relax and be comfortable fucking in front of a camera. He's more like a "ladies" man. He is a decent actor and can play any type of role well. Like the Beamers, boat and house. Don't want to wait too long for some action... maybe Emily and Sera can enter the business together and I happen to "walk" in on them. Or maybe White Queen and I could warm up the cameras. Let me know.

Your character sounds good. I wanted the “young girl, much older man” thing to work with in the story. I really like the idea of him being a “ladies” man. Would he also be a “smooth talker” / womanizer? Maybe he impresses the young ladies with his material things too (hint!). I’d like Sera to keep out of “the biz”. She thinks it’s not for her, and besides, it would take some focus off of Emily. I thought that the first time Emily goes to the studio to interview with Freddy (still not knowing that it’s a porn studio), your character and WQ’s are sitting around waiting for the stage hands to setup the set for a hardcore porn seen for them. Freddy offers Emily to stick around to watch. Maybe she will, maybe she won’t.

Remember, my real goal in this RP is character study, and sex 2nd. The only real fulltime part is that of Emily. The rest of us are basically part timers in supporting roles. (Except I’m also the organizer of this RP.) I think we can all wait until Star comes back.

Her name is Monica, she is a senior at Berkley University and has worked in the porn business since she first started college, she first did girl-girl scenes, with time though she moved into girl-guy, group sex movies and even some fetish videos. Her porn name is Monique, or Mistress Monique depending on the video or scene . She enjoys that line of work, but does not consider it as a full time job ( at least not yet, maybe that will change? ).

She is 5´9, has long fiery red hair (natural), green eyes, pale skin. She loves to wear short skirts (not too short when she is at the Univ. ) to show her long sexy legs. She works out regularly (mainly swimming early in the morning).
