Remember, this story takes place roughly 1,000 years ago - no cars, no phones, no motor boats. Well, you should all know that! Please try to keep the story in context with the times, that is all that I ask.

Atara.

The Sultan's number 1 concubine. She is 20 years old, with long raven black hair, and almost black eyes. Her skin is cinnamon colored, smooth, and clear. While not fat, she is curvy. She came to the Sultan's harem at the age of 17, and quickly learned the arts of pleasing the Sultan and anyone he gave direction to pleasing.

She has found favor with the Sultan, yet Atara is experiemental and willing to try anything in the pursuit of pleasure.

She is open and friendly, with a flirtatious side. However, she does have a temper which can be aroused on occasion.

Valic

Lord of the neighboring country of Allistat. Rival to the Sultan, for his land used to reign as superior over all.

An imposing figure of sinewy muscle and steel determination, Valic has led the campaign of many a victorious conquests. However, upon learning that the Sultan had gained wealth and power that surpassed even his own, a spark of fury ignited itself within him. His only reason for attending would be to maintain diplomatic relations.

A man of few words, his mere gaze has the ability to entrance and to strike fear into any whom views them. Tall and strong, he holds an almost ethereal presence about him. Angelic at times, it's hard to believe that his unblemished face has seen the downfalls of numerous rivals.

Known only as Ptolemy. Believed to be a decendant of the ancient pharohs of Egypt. Tall at nearly 7 feet and the musculature of a well seasoned warrior of the desert. Deep sun taned skin and piercing blue eyes. Coal black hair falls past his shoulders.

A man of few words but long on action. When a woman is with him she knows she is queen and is treated as such.

Name: Akarri Milio
Origin: Found as a slave in Egypt. Was originally born in Rome.
Height: 6'1
Weight: A Muscular 198lbs
Hair: Dusty Blonde
Eyes: Bright Jade
Build: Well defined muscles, average in muscle placement.

Other Info: Akarri met the Sultan when he was only a boy. Roughly around the age of 15, he asked to join the Sultan's large army. Akarri promised to bring the army to great victories in the Sultan's name some day. By the age of 18 he had progressed quickly through the army ranks and had become high commander by the age of 19. His skin is dark tanned from all the years he's served in the army and as a slave. He has a keen eye for the Sultan's eldest daughter, but his only flaw seems to be the shyness he has around the women he likes.

Milla is a captured slave. She was taken from her home when her parents were killed in a raid by enemies. At that time she was only 13 years old. Since then she'd been sold and resold, and had various masters. Her rare beauty and serene smile even while doing the hardest tasks, made some of them think she was posessed. Some were even afraid of her, and sold her off at the first opportunity.

That is why her latest master, Abu, decided to offer her as a gift to the new conquerer, to do with as he liked. Abu, one of the emperors that the Sultan had conquered, wanted to stay in the Sultan's good graces.

He left his home to take the 20 year old Milla to the capital. His wife had dressed her in the most beautiful clothes, fit for a concubine, because that was where she'd most probably end up. As far as Abu and his wife knew, Milla was a virgin.

Shinaa, slave to the spoiled cows of the Sultan's harem. Her temper frequently gets the best of her, as she chafes at any sign of authority, and despises the spoiled laziness of the concubines. A beauty in her own right, Shinaa frequently hides beneath ragged or dirty clothes so as not to attract attention. Her mother served the previous Sultan and his wives ... born into this life, she neither know nor asked questions as to who her father might have been. The entire topic was always dismissed anyway. Her mother taught her from an early age to hide her beauty, to dirty her face or to tangle her hair rather than become a 'kept' woman. Though the thought was outrageous, and she knew it, Shinaa wanted only one man in her life, one who would love her and treat her as an equal. It was due to these insane ideals that scars from the whip decorated her delicate back. Nonetheless, at 24, she was yet a virgin, and determined to remain so forever if need be.

Physical Description: Olive skinned, with long, curly dark hair and bright blue eyes which stand out from the rest of her delicate features. She's willowy, with small breasts, but she doesn't think of herself as pretty, though she cleaned up nicely.
