Important Dates:

• 2018: The Doomwar begins:
  • Bio-weapons are unleashed upon the United States. (No character in our story truly understands who attacked us.)
  • After weeks of tension, the US launches nuclear weapons. (There are characters who saw ICBMs rise from their silos in the Great Plains.)
  • Within hours, US cities were disappearing in atomic flashes.
  • Cities known first hand by our characters to be gone include Seattle, Spokane, Boise, and Portland.
• 2015: Luke Lee Carl is born in Southwestern Idaho.
• 2020: The community of Little Island is established. (More to come on this.)
• 2030s: The Holnist Army, now led by General Bethlehem, expands its territory from Southwestern Idaho and Northern Nevada into Eastern Oregon.
• 2033:
  • The Postman comes onto the scene Eastern Oregon. (It's just like in the movie, only 20 years after the dates in that film.)
  • 2034: Luke is recruited into the Holnist. He is not branded on the shoulder with the "8", though, to enable him to infiltrate the USPS and get close to the Postman.
  • 2035:
    • The Postman assumes control of and subsequently disbands the Holnist army.
    • Luke joins the Senior Staff of the USPS along with the Postman, Ford Lincoln Mercury, and a handful of others.
    • They expand the USPS service dramatically, and by the start of our role play (2040) there is service to nearly every community within 250 miles.
  • 2037:
    • The Postman battles rumors that the Minneapolis-based Restored United States of America was a fallacy by claiming that the government of President Richard Starkey -- the birth name of Ringo Starr, in case you weren't aware -- has dissolved the RUSA. Communities are ordered to create their own local governments intended to work with one another.
    • The Postman is appointed interim President and is later elected with 93% of the vote to a 10 year term.
    • However, the greater good created by the heroic efforts of the Postman and all who are working for him overshadows what comes to called Today's Date: March 2040.
