Morgan Fletcher belonged to the notorious Justin Lord, captain of the pirate ship Pandora. For years she was subjugated to the basest of treatment, kept for the enjoyment of the sadistic pirate. She watched and waited, learning from her captor even as she grew to hate him more with each passing hour. When the fateful day came and Lord drove the Pandora into a Navy trap, the woman felt her hopes rise. Surely, now she would be vindicated. It didn’t matter that she was dragged off to prison if Captain Justin Lord died on the gallows.

The thread will begin as a ship is about to set sail for the colony of New South Wales. Our heroines are amongst the motley group of criminals being sent to work in Australia. However, these cunning women have a different idea. In a scheme hatched in the darkest recesses of Newgate, they will take over the ship. By seducing members of the crew, the women will incite a mutiny and become the pirate queens of the seven seas.

My character is Morgan Fletcher, twenty-seven years old. Her fiery disposition is matched by her dark red hair. Her eyes are a lovely blue-green, shifting color like the ocean's waters. She is tall, lithe, and strong. During her years of captivity, she became proficient in the use of knives, becoming skilled when Lord was otherwise occupied. Morgan considers it her duty to protect her friend even as she depends on her because Morgan cannot read.

In addition to Morgan’s partner, this thread will also need about three crew members who are willing to support their cause, maybe one or two female prisoners who want to be join the queens, and a captain who will surely have his throat cut when the mutiny takes place.

Here's the link to the thread:

You are more than welcome to join, Soul's Edge. Just write up a quick bio for a character similiar to what I wrote for Morgan and put it up here.

Riley

A huge bulk of a man once a hard drinker and fighter but vowed to mend his ways after the last time in the brig. Keeps running into the same group of cutthroats and he's constantly hounded by police because of his history however. 6'4" 280 lbs he's hard not to notice, flaming red hair and beard.

He decides to got to sea as he has experience and signs up with the Pandora knowing it's heading for Australia where he hopes to start a new life. he sign on as a deck hand tending the sails and riggings and only finds out after they leave, the Pandora is a slave ship but he has his job to do and tries not to interfere with the nature of the ship and its passengers.

if you can find a place for Riley in this story He'd be thankin yea and could be persuaded to join the mutiny. Hes got a soft spot in his heart for the downtroden as he's been there.

I'll Give this a shot.

Sheila Anatella is also a prisoner upon the boat, having the most devotion for the captain, though that really does not say much, she still hates his guts. She stands at 5'6'' and a slim 130 pounds, C cup with long black hair that goes down to her knees. She has hopes of one day returning to Australia with all of the captains treasures. The only thing she loves more than plotting ways to seduce people is money, as she's a really greedy aussie.

Ok, great start! Indalecio, 'Sheila' sounds like a great addition to the plot. Thanks for joining.

Afternooner, I'm not quite sure, but I think Morgan could fall for Riley. I know I could. I seem to recall another sailor with that name. *wicked grin*

I'm trying to convince two female writers to join in the last two female parts, unfortuately I won't be able to straighten all of that out until Monday. I'm going to be going away for the weekend.

That means we still need a few more male writers to fill out this thread.

I'll plan on starting this saga when I get back on Monday.

Silk:

A lone figure, Silk was always cast as an outcast. He always seemed to be the kind of person people shied away from.

He felt abandoned and lonely, but he preferred it that way.

In his robes of black, concealed in his hood, his blond hair was out of view, yet his blue eyes could pierce the night with ease. He was a rogue, and a fine good one at that.

Yes, he had had trouble with the law in the past, after all, in his line of proffesion, who wouldn't be.

At 5'2" and with his smallish frame, he could easily hide in the shadows, await his next victim and make off with their treasures. Although he was a thief, he was a respectable on. He stole only from the corrupt, and the mean.

His welcome in the last town was at it's end, so he decided to take passage aboard the vessel, in exchnge for work. He didn't like the captain all that much, but he needed to get out of the tiny town he left behind.

If this fits the storyline, please find Silk at your diposal!

I'll also join. I've got my character but have to go somewhere right now. I'll be back in a few and fill the rest out here.

Name: Tyler Quintas
Age: 23

Tyler was broke. He had spent all of his money and then some on last night's poker game. He still owed O' Charley a few hundred that he didn't have. This happened everytime he drank and gambled, but a good poker game isn't that good unless a few beers are invloved.

He had heard of a ship heading out to the new colony. He had also been informed that the ship workers were not the best people to spend your time with. He didn't care. He had to get out of here somehow and fast.

It was dark, very dark. The stench was horrible.

"I have to get out of this box. What is this stuff, rotted fish? Well at least it's free, but I don't think the captain planned for me to be a part of his cargo. I'm sure he wouldn't be happy if he knew someone was getting a free ride on his wonderful ship. Damn, I need to take a bath. I'm a little hungry as well, but I don't think I'll eat fish ever again."

OOC:

So anyways, Tyler is a guy that lost all his money and snuck onto the ship to get away. For all of you slow one's out there. :)

Honey, love, I know that you know why I deleted that post that I made, but there seems to be some misunderstandings, so I am going to explain. It was a complete miscommunication between myself and another friend. I thought she had wanted a part in this thread that I had just claimed, and I did not want to step on her choice to take part in this thread. Rather than hurt her feelings, I deleted my post until a time when I could get the miscommunication straightened out. It has more or less been straightened out, and Honey and I have been talking about how we want to go ahead with this thread, along with the other person. I am sorry if my deleted post caused any misunderstandings.

~Cas

SB, I think Tyler sounds like a bit of rogue. Did I tell you that I love rogues?

DJ, a man named Silk? I'm anxious to see him in action and find out exactly where he got that nickname from. ~wicked grin~

Cas, hopefully we can get everything straightened out. I'd like to start this thread tomorrow. Are you thinking what I'm thinking about these delicious male characters?

Since nobody took up the role of captain, I plan to portray him as an ineffectual NPC, a man in the twilight of his career who maintains no real discipline on his ship.

Jasmine Raines will be her name, I think. *smiles* She will have been the daughter of a poor tutor who was ravished at a young age by the father of the children her own father was teaching. She ran away and ended up on the streets, where she was wrongly accused of theft, and sent to prison, where she met up with Morgan. Do you like that idea Honey? I will fill in more details about her in the thread when it gets started.

This is starting to look like it could be lots of fun. *grin*

Yes this does sound like it's going to be fun. Let's get it started as soon as we get enough characters. How many female and male characters do we have right now and are they good or bad.

Just like the answer to "are you a good witch or a bad witch?" It just depends on the day. *laugh* Jasmine is ging to be learning a lot about herself, and we won't really know what she is going to do until she does it. Up to this point, she has been rather sheltered. She has been doing a lot of growing up and wising up in the past few months.....

Good answer, Cas (and a great character, by the way). Can't wait to see what Jasmine does either.

Silverbullet, you need only ask. I've started the thread. And I think Morgan can be good or very, very bad depending on how she is treated.

Frank

Sign me up as the ship's captain = I dont mind having my throat cut, but Honey = please see my e-mail

I guess I should give a physical discription of Jasmine. *laugh* I always forget this part. I can picture her in my head, so I figure the rest of you can as well. *sigh*

Jasmine is 5'3", and has whispy pale blonde hair, though it is long. At least for the time being. She has saphire blue eyes, and freckles across her nose. While she has all the proper curves, she tends to be a bit on the thin side, almost like she has missed a few too many meals.

Right now she is overwhelmed, and somewhat afraid of her own shadow, but I think she is going to discover within herself strength and determination that she never dreamed she might have.

Got the e-mail, catlover. I'll send you my thoughts.

Cas, thanks for the description. Jasmine sounds as lovely as I imagined her.

That reminds me, I haven't described one of the most important ladies in this story, the ship. She's a French corvette pressed into the service of the East Indian Trading Company. The ship transports prisoners to Australia and returns with spices or tea. More important to the story, she returns her original compliment of 8 pounders, making her more than a match for most ships.

Ok, just a bit of time is needed to get all the prisoners on the same page. After the female writers have had a chance to respond to Morgan's plan, we'll need someone to let the women out. Morgan will be taken in to see the captain. She'll be keeping him distracted while the women turn his crew against him.

permission to come aboard?

*Wink*...Hi Honey I'm home....

How is everyone this lovely day? Sorry for taking so long to get here...*grin*

Okay...my character is one of the prisoners...in another life she was a real lady...betrayal brought her to this place….in this reality she is a survivor... she has been on ships so long that she barely remembers her other life...she has survived abuses that would make most people lay down and die.... she trusts no one but herself...not the crew and not the other prisoners...

Cassandra
5'9"
Cinnamon hair
Green eyes full of fire

Cassandra....

Although Silk is a wee bit shorter than Cassandra, I think form the little description, he would surely like to get to know here better... :D

lol - Faith, you are just so darn cute! Let me give you a belated welcome to the thread. I simply love Cassandre. You've created such an intriguing character.

It seems we are one female writer shy. I haven't heard from Indalecio. If anyone knows a someone who would like to play a female prisoner, invite them to join. I'd just like to keep the numbers even, if possible.

That's about it for now. See you on The Lark.
