The Virus:

• The newest, baddest, most deadly viral pandemic in the history of Humankind is ravaging the world.
• Able to survive on surfaces for up to 20 days and in the air for as much as 30 minutes, it is easily transmissible and seemingly unstoppable.
• It has an infection rate of 90% and a mortality rate of 80%.
• Without a vaccine or treatment on the horizon -- and with so many doctors and virus researchers dropping like flies -- the Human Race would seem to be on the verge of extinction.

The Cruise:

• The cruising yacht, SeaDream, was in the Aegean Sea on a cruise of the Greek Isles when it was announced that the virus was already present in 4 Western European countries and would undoubtedly appear in Southern and Eastern Europe soon..
• The Captain of SeaDream cancelled all ports calls, loaded the yacht with supplies, and invited any guest who wanted to disembark to do so immediately.
• He put to sea again, heading for the open Mediterranean with the intention of remaining at sea until he knew it was safe to return to shore … if ever it was.

The SeaDream's Crew, Guests, and others:

• Guests: 82 onboard; normal max occupancy is 112.
• Crew: 80 onboard; normal full staff is 95.
• Others: none at this time.

Guest Suites and Staterooms:

• Owner's Suite: Unoccupied; Deck 3 (Rm 315)
• Admiral's Suite: Occupied by [guest name coming]; Deck 4 (Rm 400)
• Commodore Suites, 4: 3 occupied by [guests name coming]; Deck 3 (Rms. 303, 304, 317, 320)
• Yacht Club Staterooms, 50 (after 4 were converted to Commodore Suites):
  • 36 occupied by [guests names coming].
  • 8 occupied by Staff and Crew (as a perk for exemplary service).

Crew's Quarters:

• Captain: Deck 5; forward, near the bridge.
• Department Managers: Decks 2-5, scattered throughout the decks.
• Officers: Decks 3-5, scattered throughout the decks; mostly 1 person per room but some are doubles.
• Entertainment Staff: Decks 2-4, scattered throughout the decks; 2-6 persons per room.
• Engineering and Others: Decks 1-3, scattered but mostly forward; 4-9 persons per room.

  • Something to note about the deck plans: they are arranged on the above page from the lower Deck 2 to the higher Deck 6. If I had been the web page designer, I would have arranged them with the higher Deck at the top of the page. Don't let this confuse you.
