Ok, have a great idea for an RP story, something I have been writing about. Now as you can guess from the title of the thread, this story has to deal with Camelot. Now this is not your typical Camelot story, no this story will twist and bend all the myth surrounding King Arthur and Camelot.
Now this story will consist of a role of chars, ranging from your Arthur, Lancelot and Merlin, to a host of fictional chars from an assortment of time periods. Time periods and chars are as follows but not limited to. . . . . .
1940s GI (Army or Marines, maybe a German Soldier for points of conflict)
1860s Sergeant (Scottish or Irish, Civil War period)
1960s or 70s coal miner
1700s Pirate or sailor
1900s Rancher or Cowboy (Mexican or Texan)
1990s-2000s collage student
Ok, this is just a sample of possible chars that can be created and used. The premises of the story is that all these chars interact in the Camelot Dimension, coming together in an effort to overthrow King Arthur, who is nothing more then a Medieval warlord.
The myth of Arthur and Camelot is just that, a myth created by Merlin to cover up the true nature of Arthur. Merlin creates this dimension from all the magic in the world to swallow up Camelot and the kingdom of Arthur. The problem is this dimension caused a ripple thru time, and those unfortunate souls that happened to be standing in its path were sucked into the dimension.
Now the story will have dragons in it, but for those who want to play dragons, you must be knowledgeable in dragon lore, such as the fact that only Female dragons fly and breathe fire. Was also hoping to add other English groups to the story such as the Celts and Picts, who were very much a dominate force in Arthur’s time, and could play vital roles in the story.
I am not sure if there is any interest out there for such a thread, but if there is please feel free to post your comments or thoughts. There is allot more to this story but to lay out all the details would take away from the story and the imagination of the writers.
