OOC - Stormswept Heights - Round 2

A while ago (April) I began an SRP post titled "Stormswept Heights", which never really got off its first steps. I'd like to give it another go and see if there are any takers...

This story is set in England, 1805, at a manor estate called "Stormswept Heights". It is the inheritance of the Baron, Sir Edward Martyn, whose only daughter Anne is refusing to marry and provide him with an heir to the barony.

Base Characters:

The Baron, Sir Edward Martyn- New Husband to Lady Martyn, and father of Anne Martyn. His daughter reminds him of his first wife, who he loved well. Played by Xantham

The Lady Martyn- A widow (formerly Serina Barlowe), who has recently married the Baron, to escape a life of poverty. She does not love him. Played by goddess_euphoria

Annabelle (Anne) Martyn, 18, the wild only daughter of the Baron, quite unruly and unladylike. She is refusing to marry. Played by MissVictoria

Clay Barlowe, 23, son of Lady Martyn, angry over his father's death, and not happy over his mother's choice of husband. Played by DeityMun

Lara Barlowe, 20 - Younger sister to Clay, fond of Baron Martyn, but is still upset over the death of her father. Played by Conquestia

Fromhit Goldwane, 18, a brooding noble turned servant to escape debtors prison, he now works as a stableboy at the heights. Played by Slance

Wood Barkely, ??, the gardener of the manor. He resents his social class, and is quite bitter towards his "betters". Large of stature, with a quick, if uneducated mind. Played by Subo97

Id like to submit a sarvant girl, the personal maid of Lady Annabelle if it ok with you.

Her name is Marie, she has been given the task to watch over the daughter of the baron, Lady Annabelle, she has done this for about 2 years now. Her parents worked as servants of the Barons family before they died. Marie is 19 years old, she has dark black hair always tied up ina braid. her skin is pale and seems to always be ina good mood, always ready and willing to serve her Lady and the Baron and wife.

As to how close may Annabelle and Marie may be, well I would like your opinion MissVictoria.

I'd like to jump in on this.

I'd like to play the oldest Stepbrother.

His name is Clay Barlowe, son to The Lady Martyn, and now stepson of Sir Edward Martyn. He is tall, 6'3", weighs about 180, with sandy blonde hair and blue eyes, and is 23 years old. He has a generally muscular build, which he gained from the long hours he spends horseback riding and fencing. He is not one of Sir Martyn's biggest fans, and still somewhat angry over his father's death, so he has taken to being a semi-loner.

Lara - 20 - Younger sister to Clay, she is 5'7" with auburn/brown hair that hangs just above her waist, with a 120lb muscular and curved figure with a 34 B chest. She has blue eyes like her brother, but unlike Clay does not hate Sir Martyn, although she is still upset over her father's death.

Marty, you are free to develop the Baron Martyn as you wish, but remember to make him old enough to have an 18 year old daughter You can read through the IC post by clicking on the link toward the top, to get a few details about him

It shouldn't be long now! We are just looking for someone to play Lady Martyn before we begin...

But don't let that discourage anyone else interested in creating a character! This is a big manor house, and we have room for more.

The Lady Martyn (formally Serina Barlowe): 41, 5'8", light brown hair, blue eyes, 130ish, 36C. Though older, Serina still has a rather youthful appearance and a firm enough body, she certainly doesn't consider herself an old woman.

All players, please see the IC thread, and read it carefully before you decide to start In the opening scene, the Baron Martyn has just returned to Stormswept Heights, and he and his new extended family are stepping out of their stagecoach.

It is up to us to shape the story from there I will be pming everyone who has taken a part immediately after sending this message, to let them know we are beginning.

The Baron

Excellent! Can't wait to start this.

Here is what the Baron is like:

Baron Edward Martyn is tall, and and slim of body. Not overtly muscular, but there is obvious hidden strength. He has pitch black hair, unruly which comes down to his shoulders. He is 42 and has dark hazel eyes. He has recently remarried, and even though his new wife is adequate, he missed his first wife greatly. He would do anything for his one true daughter, and sometimes scares the people around him with his love for her.

Anne Martyn, 18, tall (5'11"), slender, has very pale skin and her father's pitch black hair coming down to her mid-back. She dresses quite often in men's riding clothes, quite fond of spending time in the stables, and off riding her horse about the moores. When she is dresses in the attire of a woman, she seems constantly uncomfortable. She is at times quite loud and outspoken.

Marie has been serving the household since as long as she can remember. Before her it was her mother who worked in the house while she played out in the back garden with the other children. Marie's mother died when she was only 6 and in order to repay her debt she has been working to avaion the streets.

Marie stands about 5'6" and is petite thought her arms are a bit large from the rigorous work of the household. Considered pretty by most but not of the marrying status in society. Her hair tumbles down her back to her wais, but mostly it is found tied in a braid to keep it out of the way.

Occupation: Brought in new to be dress maid for Lara Barlow.

She was an orphan who was raised to be a chamber maid for upscale families. She doesn't know who her parents were and is quite unruly at times. Has been whipped, causing scars on her back. She has red hair, sign of being the devil's child. Her blue eyes are dim, but sparkle when she smiles, which is not often.

She hasn't had anyone be nice to her in all her life, so doesn't expect to be treated with gentle hands, but that is always her wish.

If you want her in, let me know.
