OOC: Stories of the Midevil Realm

I would like to create a SRP thread based on pre-made characters of my choice. I would very much enjoy each of the roles to be played out by a writer, but I will not restrict the thread to only those characters listed by myself. If you do indeed find that you wish to create your own character to add to the story, please post a description here, rather then within the actual SRP thread (I would like the story to be fluent, without OOC speaking). As I am sure you all have concluded by now, I would like for anyone interested in participating in this story to post here with claims on characters.

I apologize for the long-drawn paragraph above; I will now get to the character descriptions.

Derek Aragwen (The Grey King)* -
Derek is the cruel, ruthless Grey King, age 60. At the age of 25, he was granted immortality by an enslaved High Priestess of the Life Essence, promising her releasement. The Priestess was never released, of course, and it is rumored that she is still enslaved somewhere within his kingdom (Note: If someone would like to take the Priestess as their character, they may by all means. I leave race, etc to their choice). His physical appearance is still that of a healthy, strong Human of his mid-twenties.

Bynx Aragwen (Reserved by myself) -
Bynx is the 18-year-old granddaughter of the infamous Grey King; a skilled Dark Sorceress trained only by the best. She has been raised without ever knowing love, only the sweet taste of blood and power. She is Human, 5'6", 115 lbs. Her hair is waist-length, a silverish-grey color; her eyes are a cold, dull blue. Her skin is pale, and her body measurements are 36C-28-36.

Vaelis Amebrindir* -
Noble son of the High Elven Guildmaster. He befriended Bynx within the caverns of the Drow Elves in an incident which both were nearly slaughtered (Long story to short, Vaelis and Bynx had both come to the Drow Elven city for their own reasons, and both were attacked by the citizens for the deep hatred between the Drow, High Elven, and Humans). Only by fighting side by side were Vaelis and Bynx able to survive. Although much to Vaelis's lawful-good parents' discontent, he spends much time with "Evil Human" and truely considers her his best friend.

Amaranth Family* -
Equivilent to the Dark Hierarchy of the world. I would like some characters to be of this family, or atleast of service to this family. I have no minimum or maximum of numbers to be of the bloodline.

I haven't a single clue of what to name the "Good" or "Light" Hierarchy of the world should be, so if a character of that family would seem appealing, just make the family name up.

I will allow more than one character per writer.

Please join; I would like to see it come alive.

I would like to play 2 characters, one being an Elf. This elf would be the priestess ( if the character is still free ) that is prisoner of Derek Aragwen.

The other one would be a Drow ( I love that race ).

Hey, sorry I added Fyre by mistake w/o reading this first. I wish, as it is apparent by now, to add Fyre to the story. She is a warrior princess, but nobody knows of that, since women are not too kindly looked upon in her province. She is 5'3", green eyes and golden hair, is 36-24-34. She is skilled in martial arts as well as swordplay and magic. Hmm...I could make up more, but since you wish to keep this based on the writers, please give me some ideas about her. I will add to the story once I get more info about Fyre and her clan. Thanks...

Well I shall be an Amaranth, if there are no objections. I shall even be Good for a change.

Talia Amaranth was called the Only Rose, for she was the only good thing to come from that wicked, wicked family, which was otherwise a bramble of thorns and evil creeping vines. Or so the minstrels sang.

She was graceful, she was beautiful, she was kind, and she was fair, and so her people loved her, even if she was one of the hated Amaranths.

As the only daughter and heir of the Baron of Klaque, a minor province in the great Amaranth land-holdings, she ruled all its lands and the small castle at its heart.

Her father had been an Amaranth, true, but he was a minor cousin, an offshoot of the main trunk, a branch not as rotted with evil perhaps as the rest.

He had been a tall man, and she had his height, as well as his ice blue eyes, as cold and distant as the sea. Her mother he never told her about, but the servants whispered of Fäerie blood. How else to explain the girl's effortless grace at song, the harp, at white magic, and the elven tongues?
