OOC: Question for the women

Do roleplays where the woman is in charge, interest you or is it a turn off?

I have tried setting up a SRP like this, now and in the past but haven't received much interest.

Actually, I'm fairly new here but not to this kind of roleplaying in general. I don't mind women being more dominant in the storyline but I have a hard time writing it myself. I am female, but the kinds of characters I can write are generally submissive young men. Yeah, it's odd, but I don't like roleplaying online with something closer to what I am really like.

It totally depends on the particular RP.

Yours for instance, even though I voted that I'd "give it a go" yours doesn't really appeal to me. No one wants to be the "cold-hearted bitch" that men hate. Actually, until it got to that part of the description I was interested. To me, part of the fun of the blackmail would be having him do things with me and for me, and also letting me watch as he did things with the other woman, as well as doing things with the woman and having HER do things to/for me as well.

But having the other woman do menial work and just being a general bitch to the guy doesn't appeal, personally.
maybe what I've said is what you meant, but it didn't "come out right" on the thread or something, but that's my take on your post.

That said, I'm in plenty of threads and probably shouldnt join more just now. LOL Give me another week or two and maybe.

Also, I'm not one for blood and bruises, so if it's that kind of domination you're looking for, might head to the BDSM forum. (Though I don't know what goes on in there, especially dont' know if there's any RPing or not.) Personally, my kind of domination doesn't go much further than maybe tying down or restraining him, and the occasional slap or bite, and that's about it. And that's not just on the threads.

My favorite kind of character to play is one who is shy to start with, needs a little help to relinquish herself to a man and might need to be shown or taught a thing or two, and after she gets going she gets wild and likes it hard. But, no blood or bruising, and I'm not a big fan of having my hair pulled or being choked, either. Just like it deep and fast, mostly.

I agree with dolly in some areas...

I'm more of a person that can be dominate in her play, but mostly with other women. My characters are fine dominating a woman if I play a woman but for a guy, she's coy, playful and will ultimately submit if he shows her a thing or too. I don't generally like to play with a submissive man cause it drains my creativity.

But then it also depends on the thread topic. If it doesn't appeal I don't bother, and seeing my sig I play a lot.

My style of play is between sub and dom. She may either start off shy and need coaxing out of her shell or she may start off bratty and coy then need a bit of slapping to get off her pedistal. Either way she'll always need a guy to lift her or break her.

BDSM is out of my league, haven't mastered that just yet.

Yeah I like having dom females for like specific moments in the story but they aren't so sure of themselves around the dom male. Its just natural for me to slip between roles.

And depending on the thread will determine if I play a dom-brat or a shy-sub

I'm also not looking for hardcore BDSM scenes so the description of some of the things you like sounds good. I'm just looking for things that would happen in a typical SRP but where one side is in control.

The character description of the bitch was not mine. It was someone else who joined the roleplay. The story can have different women in the office blackmailing different men then sharing the benefits among themselves, so you can make up your own character and personality. If you can find some time, join in.

Some women are interested in the concept. If you don't like my particular SRP idea, describe a scenario that you would you like to do.
