OOC: Pirates Of Dark Water!!

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone here remembers the Hannah-Barbara cartoon The Pirates of Dark Water? I wanted to start a role play revolving about that, but am not sure if anyone would be interested in it. I have some descriptions, etc. pulled up from sites in case someone needs help with details. If there is a big enough attraction to this idea, I will write up a RP soon! To help remind ya'll, here are some of the major characters to the show:

Ren: Young prince who is trying to save his homeland from the dark water. Son to King Primus (who is dead).

Niddler: He is the Monkeybird. Ren's sidekick since the beginning. Lusts for gold and melons. lol

Ioz: Ex pirate. Strong lust for gold. Chauvinist (sounds like a good role for Cervantes to play babe! ).

Zoolie: Another ex pirate. Friend to Ioz. Owner of a tavern in Janda-town. Good natured man, cheerful.

Tula: (who would be played by me! Tee hee...) Started out as a serving wench at Zoolie's tavern. She becomes a stow away on Ren's ship and ends out joining the Quest.

Bloth: Biggest, baddest, meanest pirate of 'em all. lol Pompous fool at times as well. Strong lust for gold.

Konk: Henchman to Bloth. Piglet/man. Coward.


I shall be back to see what ya'll think. I will add a shit load MORE detail if this RP sets sail! (Pun intended!)

What a pleasant surprise to see more "faces" than just Raven's here! I was hoping to have a RP that had more/different names than I was used to in my "lil circle of friends" from the SRP board. Yeay! Lava, Ink, sure NEW characters are welcome. I just spat out some of the main ones from memory. Lava, since I don't think Bloth would have been the type to welcome a female second in command on his crew, you may have to be captian of a 3rd ship. So, it looks like we have Tula and Ioz for sure (I may toss Niddler in there on occasion if no one chooses the lil' Monkeybird. Hee hee hee). Lava, Ink, if you two would be so kind as to give me a name and the basics of your character I'd be so greatful. Kepic, since this is first come first serve, do you see any of the untaken main characters that you like? If not, do you wish to make one up? Let me know! Prolly by the end of next week I shall write up the "full" RP to allow others time to read this thread. I'll keep ya'll updated! I think this RP could be awesome.

5'7" (just tall enough and nimble to jump around the boat...)
LOng Raven Black hair to the middle of her back, Braids interwoven speratically.
Green eyes
Very well toned and tanned body from her ten or so years at sea. (she has only been at sea for that long...or with crews i mean...)
barefoot, short cut-off Khaki material shorts and a cotton tight fitting t-shirt.
bright and spunky personality, knows how to fight. Grew up with ten brothers.

Roland baby...! There are MANY of the regular characters left, and you can always make up your own. Think of pirates, sword fighting, mythical times, etc. If anyone wants/needs some of the story's history I'll type some up for ya'll.

Lava, you basically just described Tula to a "T". However, she wears Gypsy clothing made of silks.

minus the high boots, Call her Sora, make her what you want, I think she looks like a Dread Pirate. (if you make her a dread pirate, of a third ship...i think that...Her name is Known, but she is thought of being male. Known as cruel and cold-hearted, rich, and Once you meet the dread pirate Sora, you don't return. But most of this is untrue, she is a tough fighting sea-faring pirate.)

Someone already wants to play a mute Char. I had alreday written a male part that was mute, but I suppose I could do a Bard in stead. A seaferring story teller collector of illusions and childrens tales, quick with a love song or a smile and eternally young (in his heart).
He would be 5'10 with bright blue eyes and long blond hair.
a boyish face that belies the years at sea. much more effective with song or inturment than with a sword, he still loves to work and will toe the line with the best of them.
I was tinking the name Alac. but But tiggs you rule in this land so if this doesnt suit your story , I would gladly play an npc.
