The year is 2278, and the world is changed. The vast majority is nothing more than a blasted wasteland, massive nuclear, chemical, and biological destruction has seen to that. Alien terraforming technology has caused mass mutation of nearly all life, and few resources are left. However, in some isolated pockets in the world, some vestiges of life cling to existence in this post hollocaust world.

Mutates, the most numerous remnant of humanity, have thrived to a degree. Changed by alien terraforming viruses, they have taken it apon themselves to protect the New Earth. They live in harmony with the mutated flaura and fauna of the Earth. They live in communities located in the most heavilly mutated areas, and have a form of communion with the new plants, even able to create living combonations of plant and metal. However, life has not been kind in their new Eden, as they are constantly drawn into conflict with the Cybers.

Cybers are the next most numerous remnant of humanity. The descendants of mechanically enhanced human armies from before the Great Sterilisation, they have adapted to life in the new world as they know best - they have enhanced themselves with mechanical devices. Remarkably resistant to the mutation virus, any that do succumb have two choices. 1: have the virus cut out, and replacement mechanical parts for whatever was removed. 2: get recycled. In Cyber society, everything can be recycled. metals are reforged into limbs, vehicles, weapons, and the like, contaminated tissue is used as fuel, non contaminated tissue is turned into food. Being the descendants of the world army, Cybers constantly wage a war against the mutates, determined to take back their world.

Pure Humans are the last remnant of the old ways. Secured away underground for the last 200 years in large 'Arks', they have waited for the chance to re-emerge after the destruction they rained down, and rebuild their world from the ground up, free of any mutants, alien technology, and past mistakes. Recently, they have started Project Ascention, a process of re-terraforming their world, and re-emerging into their own paradise. Unfortunatly, like the plan for world sterelisation, this plan has not gone as expected. They have noticed the tribes of Mutates, and the military fortresses of the Cybers. Project Ascention, however, cannot be stopped, and the best hope the Pures have is that the decades old betrayal they visited apon both the Mutates and Cybers has been forgotten.

It has not.

And so, with the emergance of the Pures, who the Cybers call the Betrayers, and Mutates call the Decievers, life on this New World is about to change. Again.

Ok, open RP here for whomever would wish to join in. There is a choice of 3 'races' - Mutates, Cybers, and Pures. Story is free to progress in any direction, prompted by anyone. Originally, my intention is to have the three factions fighting with each other, but an inter-race survival group is another path that could be explored. After all, in the wasteland of the New World, you need friends to stay alive.

Also, any questions I will do my best to awnser

hi nice play i feel it would be great if you have 3 players commanding each group in different part of world so there are plenty of options

please also mention each faction in detail so we can know powers and tech levels

Hey, everyone is welcome. I'll get an "ic" bit up fairly soon. As for your questions:

Yes, having 3 or so players for each faction would be a good idea! I like it! If you know a few who might be interested, send them this way :D

in-detail factions. Right.

Humans: Until recently, the humans have been living underground in their Arks, developing new technologies that would help them deal with the outside word when they decided to rejoin it. They have access to sleeker-styled land vehicles than the more functional Cybers, and more organic Mutates. They have access to personal shield generators that are designed to block out contaminants, and at a push, can take a small amount of ballistic fire before shorting out. Similar technology is installed on their vehicles. In terms of weaponry, they have access to the most advanced pieces of kit including short to medium rnage laser tech, and long range rail guns. However, they do use ballistic weapons as parts are more scavengable. They also have basic holo-tech. Personal combat armour is not high on the development lists, and so it tends to be limited to just shields.

Cybers: Having spent all their time above ground and attempting to eradicate the Mutates, Cybers tend to have more heavilly armed and armoured vehicles, and their troops have toxin and ballistic resistant combat armour. In terms of weapons, Cybers have a tendancy toward using ballistic and flamethrower type weapons as ballistics are easy to scavenge, and fuel supplies are still abundant enough to warrent flamethrower technology. As they implament cybernetic augmentation, they often have physical abilities that supercede those of a normal human, and in some cases, have implanted weapons. Their vehicles have a tendancy to sport spikes and saws so as to be more efficient at cutting down their foes. They have also developed limited transformation technology, that enable their vehicles to switch to 'offensive' mode, enabling more weaponry to be braught to bear. However, this mode is power consumption intensive.

Mutates: Being almost one with the new nature, Mutates favour organic vehicular designs and weaponry. They are unaffected by the varied toxins that the terraforming has produced, and as such are more able to employ the more acidic and corrosive toxins in their weaponry (which tends to be short ranged for the most part). Their vehicles, while emulating more traditional vehicular designs, are almost totally organic and thus, if left unharmed for long enough, will regenerate any damage done to them. While not as resistant as Cybers or Humans to damage, they can 'phase shift' for short periods of time. This is physically draining. Like both Cybers and Humans, the Mutates will use ballistic weapons due to their ease of scavengable parts, but will prioritise the use of corrosive or toxin organic weapons.

Oh, and hover technology has not yet been discovered. That is, unless you want to strap some helicopter blades to the top of your car....

Hope that helps
