I'd like to put this out for you to look at, and see if another woman would like to join.
I'm pretty new to this, so I'm thinking that before the "official" start of the thread, whoever it is that would volunteer to write with me would have an opportunity for some back and forth private dialogue on the opening scenario, where things might be going, and just how we each see our characters.
Or ... is that too "controlling"?
Like I said, I'm new.
Here's my suggestion for the thread (and thanks to Intriguess for ideas and a little feedback on this already!!!!!).
I see this thread as mutually mind-aware, mutually mind-controlling but always consentually and gently. The possibility of two friends becoming much more than friends, helping each other get through inhibitions and into levels of desire and pleasure that neither could "allow" in themselves, but can through benevolent experimentation with each other.
Jan and Deb had grown up best friends but drifted apart after high school. They had always been the type of friends who seemed to know what the other was thinking without having to communicate. Like twins almost, they could go to a class, hear a comment from the instructor that struck them as funny, quirky, whatever and when they looked at each other, they needed no more words to communicate. Once, even, a history teacher had yelled at them to “Stop talking when I’m talking!” even though they hadn’t said a word.
Jan ran into Deb at the grocery store and invited her out to coffee.
“I didn’t even know you were back in town!” Jan said as they sat down to reminisce.
“Well, I just went through a messy divorce and happened to get a job offer near here and … it just seemed the right time and place to be here again.”
Jan told Deb about her recent, also messy divorce, and they caught up on the 20 years during which they had seen each other, or corresponded, sporadically.
“So … are you celibate, by default, too?” Jan asked after the two had covered the topics of their children, their jobs, their husbands, their families, their hopes and their goals. The confusion at being asked such a personal question showed on Deb’s face and Jan was sorry she’d asked. It was clear that sex was something that Deb wasn’t willing to talk about at the moment.
Not knowing how they intruded into her mind, Jan could see images, flashes, of Deb sitting in a bar, alone, looking longingly over at a very attractive pair of women who were very evidiently lovers. She saw another image of her that same night, her clothes cast aside, slowly, sensuously pleasuring herself on a bed that must have been in her new home.
That the images were so real disturbed her yet they caused her breath to catch and her heart to beat faster. The warmth of desire flowed through her. It coursed through her more quickly as more images (from Deb's mind?) of herself, seen through someone else's eyes, flashed through her brain. Images of her as a desirable woman, imaginings of her sitting there at coffee and rememberings of her as a teen, images that must have come from someone who knew her as a teen.
She spilled her coffee as she saw a mental movie of herself, sitting in the coffee shop, being gently stripped by unseen hands.
