RP set in a parallel world where the White Guards won the Russian Civil War and focused on the lives of people living in Moscow while the rest of the world burns in war around them.
Some key differences.....without Communism as a threat, Hitler never rose to power in Germany, the Weimar Republic still exists, but the Austro-Italian Axis under Dolfuss and Mussolini has grown to include Poland, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Kemalist Turkey, Salazar's Portugal, and Franco's Spain, now menaces to much of the rest of Europe. The malcontents of Europe, now aligning to threaten the regional balance of power. The major powers now face a vast array of smaller states who could together undo them all.
And Russia could tip the balance for good or ill.
But that's background, of course.
We need characters who live under a military regime in a Russia that is neither Communist, Tsarist, or a democracy.
My character:
Colonel Sergei Alexeyevich Bukov, Commanding Officer of the 1st Kulak Guards, the new elite guards light infantry unit guarding the Kremlin itself. As such, he is a very prominent young officer, but he owes his rise to debts owed to him by key White Guards officers whose lives he saved during the Civil War. Age 38, he has never married and refused to even pursue it....at least since the Jewish girl that he once loved was murdered by anti-Semitic Ukrainian nationalists in Kiev.
