OOC: Mage War

This is a somewhat new thread although I had this idea before and for some reason it never really took off which was a pity.

Anyway, here is the idea for the thread. This is set in a fantasy world that is held in balance because of one simple thing, mages. In this world there are White (good), Black (evil, of course) and Grey mages (neutral). There have to be the same number of each color mage in this world to keep what they call the moderation because if the balance is destroyed then the world will be destroyed. I'll play the part of a white mage and I hope that you all like the idea enough to join in as whatever you wish to be.

Okay, so there are mages, good, abd, and neutral, and their needs to be a balance.

So,....what would we be doing in this thread?
Traveling along as a group of mages so if one dies the others can kill themselves to keep the balance?

Searching out some dark evil that wants to destroy the world by ending the balance?

Trying to find a pizza place open in the middle of the night?

No, one of the evil mages is trying to gain ultimate power and does not care if he has to destroy the world in doing so. He has been killing white mages in great numbers, there for throwing the balance severally out. What my character and anyone else who joins him has to do is destroy this evil mage before he gets what he wants and becomes too powerful to destroy.

So, basically it is some dark force out to destroy the world.

It sounds like a cool idea.
Let's see, you'll be a white mage, we've got someone who wants to be a black mage, so balance screams out for a grey mage.

But this is only the begining, and I never was one for balance. So I'd like to sign up as an evil Black Mage setting aside his hatred for the righteous White Mages in order to kill the black mage seeking power.

I`ll be the mystical, beutiful grey mage. You never know what side i might turn to. I can be cruel and i can be good. It depends on who im dealing with.

Just tell me when the fun starts and what to do.

i always did have a thing for mages.im in,ill be the ultimate fairness grey mage,completly devoiud of any and all human emotion or compassion.in short,a grey mag eof death(for all things are equal in death)

I'd be interested in an overly-zealous white mage. His goal is good, all the time, to the letter, and evil put to the sword. He's grudgingly willing to set this aside in order to save everything, but after that...

Sorry to do this to anyone who wanted to play the evil character in this thread but I wanted to do it myself. I have the perfect evil character in mind you will basically want to see him die in the end.

I had a great idea.

It involves the Moderation and concerns the grey wizards. They are the ones who are mainly in charge of keeping the balance and they can do whatever they wish to keep that balance, they can even kill other mages to do so.

That task has been given to them by the gods and they must do so, knowing that if they do not it will destroy everything.
