OOC: Idea without a Name

So yes...I have an idea...and it has no name. I have not been on the forum in 5 years and have actually missed it. What I really want to do is a story about a rather interesting group of people only connected by their want to kill evil and to get paid doing it.

I would be playing Kissa, its Icelandic for Cat...LOL I had a friend go there for a year...She wears tight fitting clothing has long black hair, light skin, and blood red lips to go with Cat like eyes. She is American and loves knives and swords with an occasional gun or two. I am a big fan of Lora Croft Tomb Raider LOL! Anyway, for other characters I know I am looking for a guy who will play a larger than life goon, extremely tall and big, beyond that you can tell me if he is the muscle or if he hides a brain under the muscle and scars.

Need a tech like person who comes up with intel, makes gadgets and flies helicoptors and the such - girl or guy not a problem.

Would like to have the typical wise cracking pretty boy that actually knows what to do with explosives and heavy artillery.

Basically, the group gets contacted through a business discretely. We are picking about what we take on. We can have someone play a nasty villian that finds out some info about Kissa and starts coming after her...or if that is too cheesy we can discuss further. I like collaboration. Type ideas here if interested.

I picture being mostly like what we have today but more technical and computerized. The guns fit to a person and will backfire on you if your dna doesn't match. Swords and knives are just metal. most everything is voice command even cars and practically run on their own. Maybe the bad guy is the owner of a major company who designed it all...I know it has been done so not sure where that will go yet. We will see when we have a bad guy.

Even Jedis watch movies and yes a little Demolition Man and some Doom but less controlled. Oh and at some point there will be leather on piece suit on my girl with nice tall heeled boots. At least once. Her name is Kissa...not to be confused with Cat Woman. I am a Batman fanatic.

LOL Doom is a movie. I own it. It has The Rock...Dwayne Johnson in it as well as my favorite Star Trek Doctor Karl Urban. Yes I am a Trekkie and so damn proud of it. LOL!

Ah, just looked it up. That's what I thought...the movie is based off a computer game! I thought I recognized the title as a computer game. Didn't know it had been made into a movie.

I love Star Wars too. Wish they would have made the three movies after the intial three from the 70s - 80s. Would have been interesting to see how the made up Princess Leia's twins.

Anyway, yeah Doom is a game I have played before. About the cheesiest game to play now but was one of a kind in the day.

Anyway...I am going to start the IC thread for this and just call it Gunslinger for lack of a better name. Okay?

That is what I was thinking. With the Gunslinger its not going to be as multiple character as I am hoping the other will be.

Well that clears that up... guess I should add in the anime-dork aspect of this nerd-convention!!

Gunslinger Girl is the title of an anime; so you had me confused over there ;P

Problem with the three movies to continue 4-6 of StarWars is that all the novels have already been written for that time-period, so he'd [Lucas] either be using books other authors have written (hopefully with permission) as his plot or basically tossing them into a state of falsehood by using his own.

However I do agree, I'd love to see how they pull off Jacen, Jaina (I can't spell her name to save my life), and Anakin... heck even little Ben from Luke&Mara (they'd have to find a nice hot redhead for her role ) would be epic win. That and seeing how they'd deal with the Yuuzhan Vong (omg make-up) on screen would be fascinating (perhaps something like they did with Avatar?)


But I digress... What about a cybernetic girl (too futuristic?) for the techie placement (gadgets, intel, driving and whatnot)? Dunno if you've ever seen GiTS (Ghost in the Shell) but something like that.. then she can interface with the device technology which would help the group have modified weapons instead of what a badguy would see as stock predictable standardized weapons. Heck, for fun, she can have a pet Tribble! (joking there, but have to appeal to the Trekkie side of things!) Just wanted to ask and get started somewhere!

Well lemme know.. (yeh, I'm new to the site, but not RP'ing --played many a session of D&D pre-college days and got introduced to this style (and site) by Tymeless)

Hmm, seems you dropped the futuristic aspects of your idea based on the other OOC thread... or is this for a parallel one? I don't know much about the wild-west beyond the movies I've seen, but I can still do technology

As I understand it, Vamp, this thread refers to an entirely different story than the one Daisy has running titled "Gunsligner," so this isn't a parallel story. No relation whatsoever to "Gunsligner."

I did have Ghost in the Shell in mind as well when I asked about the futuristic setting for this thread, but it seems that is just a little to futuristic.

I've played some D&D and similar in my college days as well, but let me tell you...there isn't much that's similar between D&D and this place. First off, the RPs around here tend to take longer to get somewhere, but sadly don't last long enough to get there. Secondly, good writings skills are a must have; the better you can write a creative piece, the better the story is. Third, lot more thought goes into this style of RP than in D&D - more details need to be revealed in writing than are revealed verbally in D&D. Fourth, no d20s in this style; in fact, there's no d-whatever in this style of RP.

It's hard to get used to, but you will eventually.

Oh I understand all that, done a few custom RP's before and a Bleach-themed RP and I tend to write stories on my own in my off time so I'm used to writing, I just get paren happy a lot--thank you lisp.. Just ask Tymeless though, or my friend Inside from other forums, they know how I tend to write a ton for each post, as I feel bad writing too little.

Also very familiar with the slow start never getting anywhere as that's what all of our D&D sessions were like actually (and I do hate the whole die thing) and that Bleach RP also died off after only just starting. It is frustrating, but I think I'm rather strangely used to it. Had one RP go really far.. twice.. but when one of the folks vanished from the face of Canada, and with it the internet, that ended as well.

Was considering introducing my own universe that I created last year and had tried to get a few friends to RP in over AIM with no results to here, but figured it best if I actually tried to see how others are before setting expectations where they don't belong. That and wanting to be more involved than reading a dozen pages of posts to learn this boards specifics--though I do like that it's not all 100% G-rated stuff, just want to avoid the X-rated.

So here I am, looking around and trying not to get scared away by the other boards before attempting to get back into the fun I had a little over a year ago. I can easily bring in sample writing if that's a requirement here, I got plenty. For example, the first 3 chapters and a Prologue for a book I'm slowly but surely trying to write. I just always assume I'm more paranoid about grammar and spelling than most, being an English-minor.

Ok ok so I forgot about Ghost in the Shell...I should be burned. I like that idea of bringing in something like that. I hope you are wanting to join. I would really like to get this one up and running but still need some more people. I want at least one more person willing to take on the intellectual giant. Sample writing is not required; I can tell from your replies here that you are actually a decent writer, Vamp. However, since Literotica is a story site, why not post your story and see what the community has to say?

I've had one RP that lasted nearly 3 years, but sadly didn't go very far due to the inherent slowness of this type of RP. Even sadder is the fact that it's creator recently gave up on trying to make it go - something about everyone quiting and there not being enough people to support it. But yes, I agree with Daisy. I do hope you will join up in this story. Should be interesting.

When I read the OP, I got intruiged by the idea of play the technologics girl, but I see that it's already been claimed.

That's not to say that I wouldn't mind trying to play the dumb, but smart giant, it's just not a kind of character that I am very familiar with.

If you have additional ideas for a character, I'd be very willing to take one of those up. If not, I can settle with the giant.
