ok ok this is somthing i had been thinking about for a while,never posted it up because i didn't have a plot.Basicly there is a clan of were wolfs with a twist........these wolfs had mixed with animals they encountered (no not cross breed!!)by using an spell

these are the regular breeds:

d,fangs:dragon type wolfs very arrogent but when someone is in danger they are the most wise.

silvans:silver were wolfs prefer to look like raguler wolfs.they are very rude when it comes to looks but are also very defensive to there young

wolven:they are the typical werewolfs they are the most wise and are usaly the brains of the clan

tigros:tiger like werewolfs,the great land hunters of the clan,but are very peaceful and friendly towards hummans and wolfs alike.

vapros:sea werewolfs the sea hunters nothing can relly be said since they are soo rare.

blood hounds:dark red wolfs are usaly very very nice,but when hunting and interuped they will usally kill on site!

blacks:there collur says it there very sly and rude usally became outcast until the great blacik werewolf nataku saved the wolf clan

foxanites:fox type.....not much said except that an foxanite was an aprentice of nataku and became an hero itself

don't bury the thread, give us a plot and we'll give it a go.

For example.. it seems you've given the groupings a bit of thought.. the blacks and the foxanites anyway.. they have a leader of sorts, Nataku, who, it seems must be particularly sly to have saved the clan..

Presumably, a were-creature becomes human during the day? Perhaps as these are not the usual run-of the-mill were-creatures, they can become human at will? it's your choice.

If I were you, I'd think about storylines I've read in other books, and loosely build a plot.. say.. Clan of the Cavebear (just for example.) - its a completely different story but the plot could be adapted... perhaps its the story of how Nataku saved the clan..

First, the setting...

The wind gusted over the frozen lake, bringing with it a bone chilling cold, and the distant sound of howling. Ice and snow crunched beneath each weary step, cutting into the bruised pads of his feet as he walked between the ice and the cliff towering above him.

Then the subject...

He had been alone, as most wolves of the black were, for most of his short life. He no longer even looked up when he heard the howls, chasing phantoms on the wind. Ever since he had been weaned from his mother and she had left him, he had chased the winds howling. He found only trees and hills and gullys, frozen forever in this Arctic winter. He was cold, tired and hungry, but his nose brought not a whiff of even the smallest of game.

The Crisis...

As his head drooped, he was almost asleep on his feet, but he knew he had to press on. If he stopped here, he would die. The icy wind biting into his thick ruff was already taking its toll, and there was no shelter to be had.
A loud clatter came from behind, startling him, instinctivly making him leap out onto the ice so he wouldn't be cornered against the cliff. The ice, rotten now at the tail end of winter couldn't hold his weight and collapsed, dropping him into the frigid water. Surging back toward the surface, his feet found the crumbling lip of ice. Trying to gain purchase he scrabbled against it, unable to pull himself out. The water lowering his body temperature rapidly, Nataku could fight no more. He knew he was slipping back but he had no more energy. Dying, his forelegs holding only half of his body above the water, he let out a low, mournful howl, before his head came to rest between his paws on the ice.

Ok, so the Main Character is dying.. at this point anyone can save him.. in one fell swoop he has a companion, he owes a debt, he gains purpose (if he was with a group someone could have helped him) he has a hunting partner.. (once he is well again of course) and he might even fall in love with his rescuer (well, maybe a girl rescues him?)

anyway.. its a completely different story, but uses the same formula Clan of the Cavebear - before Ayla was found by Iza.. alone and dying..

So.. apart from that, the only thing you need to stipulate are the era and limitations a character has.. say..

Only were creatures already mentioned or full humans allowed.
Setting is end of an Arctic winter, in the time of Legends.
No "God Powers" with magic spells... every character needs a weakness.

Perhaps only the original clan of Were-wolves were able to use the spell to make other were-creatures, but now the original ones have died out (disease?) and the remaining species are only able to breed more of their own kind, were-wolf mother/were-wolf son, and NO characters are capable of magic.. living in a harsh environment with wits alone, but capable of human intelligence, along with animal instinct trying to build a new culture...

Perhaps other species DO share this environment... Abominable Snowmen, whatever. If you do that however, then players tend to want to be something that no-one else is, and the thread has trouble progressing cos there's only one black wolf, one human, one snowman, one elf, one goblin, one D'fang.. and they would have problems working the same plot.. people would go off on their own tangents.

going by what I have built so far, a few lone black wolves, the apprentice foxanite, a dissenter or two.. (gotta be some resistance to creating the black clan) and a couple of the others who decide its a good idea and help.. maybe a human hunter.. all the rest could be just brought in as needed... how easily could a Vapros keep up with land hunters??

ok there those were things i did left out sorry....

ok the first thing are the settings.

the clan are nomadic meaningthey move around.but,the main setting is frostbite hills as the main land and frorstfalls as the hunting spot,and the legends grave wheare all of the werewolf clans legends and heros lie (but don't be too confterble there)

now the subject

the clan of the knite hounds had lived in harmony with the creatures they interacted with....most of the wolfs stayed with there own special gifts.(the artist stay with artist etc)and the blacks were always outcast and once the tried to attack and kill the clan on wich they had failed because of an outcast wolf named nataku who refused to help...it costed him his family but it saved his clan

yes...i did forget the moon wolfs but they and all the others i havent mention(like the mechs)are extreamly rare!
