OOC:Horrors of Victorian Lovecraft off the Coast of New England

I love victorian age adventures and I thought the turn of the century adventure dealing with the deadly evils was due.

Ships, boats, and swimmers are vanishing off the coast of New England from Maine to Mass....with no real clues to what is causing these events...

Well the press has taken hold of this and some odd wreckage and a few chewed on corpes. Now there is $100,00 dollar reward for the "monster".....Couldn't hurt to look could it?

I am looking for a few.....good adventures. Actually since this a Lovecraft world adventure I want a lot of players and for every player you can have two characters. Husbands and wives, students and teachers......old Navy buddies......what ever. Be ready to be loaded for bear. I will use established creature(s) from the orginal RP game. Also we need a ship so I am taking design recomondations......keep in mind the time period. As always I am open to questions and rewrites......So pickup a good book and a good rifle.

an early oops.....

Horrors of Victorian Lovecraft off the Coast of New England

It is off the Coast...

No questions?

Think Cthulhu at Sea.......

Jaws with more attitude......

Horror that has a bite and takes tough roleplayers

Would it matter if things took place at a sea side town? This is still open to discussion and change people.

I'll join, this sounds interesting. just let me think of a character :)

First Player!

Welcome aboard......please share input and thoughts. Btw your allowed two characters to start with since the death toll is ususally high in these type of games. Cthulhu monsters are pretty dangerous reguardless of how you GM the adventure....

One brave player......who is next?

Come on guys........real Horror RPG here. Step up to the challenge. Those of you good enough to play and read my threads know I keep it fun and interesting and I am always fair.

I've been a fan of Lovecraft for a few years. I'm willing to join. Any restrictions, guidelines, etc. for characters?

Nothing crazy....and use my first thread for guidelines for character development. Since the body count is high in Lovecraft...your allowed two characters.

Sounds interesting, I've never heard of "Lovecraft" but I would like to be a part of this.

Really?.....Lovecraft wrote the first horro......freaky stuff. Throw out some ideas...for characters.

Samantha Cole, and her brother, Jack.

Jack is an old cowboy from the midwest, he has worked as a rancher most of his life, done a few cattle runs and whatnot. His sister went to New York, the big city, to try and make something of herself.
She's an editor at a newspaper, doing very small stories, and mostly just being trodden on in this day and age. She thinks this story is just the thing to boost her morale and get her name out there are a real journalist.
She asked her brother to come along because, well... we're dealing with monsters here, and it just makes more sense.
Jack's not really happy to be here, but he loves his sister, and wants to see her do well. Oh, and the money doesn't hurt either.

A brother and sister team......interesting. A reporter and a cowboy. Cool.

Yes Guidelines to making a character. Think turn of the century......to 1920's (being flexable with this one) as far as what is available. WWI veterans, sailors, priests, farmers, private detectives, police officers, smugglers, coastguard men, and occult investigators.......

Plenty of stuff to work with and remember two characters per players is an option.

Still could use a boat too....
