Ooc: Hell's Carnival

Shadow Shore. A fairly small ocean town that doesn't get much excitement through out the year. Thats most likely why most teens leave when they are old enough.

But there is one month, one day of the year that is dear to all of the residents in Shadow Shore, espeacialy the teens and younger. Halloween. Every October a traveling carnival rolls in, sets up, and throughout the month entertains them.

Sounds simple and innocent right? Wrong. Even though its the most entertaining thing in Shadow Shore, its also the most mysterious, and possibly the most dangerous. Bone chilling screams comming out of nowhere, a death here and there, and a record of disaperances. And even more so, it gets worst when it came closer to All Hollows Eve.

Is it just rumors? Paranoia? Or is there more to this carnival than meets the eye? One thing for sure, it gonna be one hell of a night
for whoever dares to enter Hell's Carnival.

Do you have the ego to enter? Or are you too scared to even move?

Okay, this is basicly a survival horror rpg set mainly in a carnival. (Just in time for Halloween I might ad.) People can make maximum of two (living) characters, and two (that dies later) characters. How you kill them is up to you. Should be pretty simple with all the choices. Homicidal clowns, exploding mini-golf golf balls, the house of mirrors suddenly shatters out and stabs them.

This is just about the most perfect opportunity for blood, guts and carnage a guy could ask for.
Questions: What is the time period? Present day? Turn of the century?
And what other limitations do you wish to add in? Such as are the bad guys pretty much there for your creation? OR can we make up our own, within reason of course?
Also, do you want characters of any (every) age?

Mmm, no, not really. But I seriously doubt anybodie above the age of 59 will survive very long...

The period is present, an the carnival is from 6:00 pm, to 1:50 am. So it starts to get dark when it opens, and dark before leaving... If you leave... Muhahahahahaha!!!

I guess I'll be cliche and play a pair of friends, one male one female. Fun thing- he's gay.
This is me, there has to be a quirk.

Nicholas "Nix" Somethinorother (last names aren't important)
25 5'11", black hair, brown eyes
Student and Waiter at a pricy coffee house
Not very strong, kinda smart, about as rainbow as a guy can get.
Friends with Mina cause she's amusing and doesn't judge him.

Mina Unkownsth
23, 5'3", blonde, blue eyes
Biology student & Kenpo instructor
Pretty strong, stubbord, sadly a bit ditzy. Very accepting of weird stuff and gore doesn't bother her. Too much lab class for that.

Okay, here my charaters.

Todd Ribbit (Lives)
15 years of age, 5'6 short brown hair, hazel eyes.

Student at Blackthorn High, amature wannabe ninja.
Todd is a young, quick witted half-nerd whos read way too damn many comics books about ninjas and other assasins. He often uses the computer to learn as much as he could about how they fight and the sort. Even though he is fairly weak, Todd has a little vicious streak that gets him in alot of trouble. (Abusive parenting... Gotta love it!)

Chaz (Jester) Willix (Lives)
19 years of age, 5'10, short auburn hair, red eyes.

Student at Blackthorn College, curently working as a paranormal investigation asistant.
Jester is Todd's best, and only real friend. He is also a pain adict, which pits him into alot of brutal fights, which gets him into more trouble than he likes. Jester got his nickname because he liked to joke around alot making his teachers lives a living, un-holy hell.

Here's a couple to start with...

How about...

Matthew:

Age: 11
Description: Short for his age, making him look younger than he is by at least two years. He has brown hair, often unkempt, and brown eyes that reinforce that young appeal he hates so much.

Like all the kids, Matthew has visited the carnival almost every year since being born. All except one, when he was eight and had an early season case of the flu. Although he can't always remember why, he's never felt quite comfortable there. Often, especially as the carnival neared, he'd have nightmares that he couldn't remember. He wasn't sure what took place in them, or why they came when they did, but for some reason, he feels the carnival might have something to do with it. For that reason, he's alwaysa little apprehensive about going...


Dale:

Age: 17
Description: Tall, and soon to be handsome, he has brown hair and eyes too (genetics, go figure). Fairly muscular, though in that way most teen athletes are, he's still skinny.

Dale is a wide-out for the high school football team. He plays well, but isn't interested in being a star player, just getting to college and getting out of Shadow Shore. As Matthew's older brother, he's overprotective and possessive. No one messes with "lit'l bro" is Dale's motto.


Cade

Age: 18
Description: Slightly shorter than Dale, and a bit heavier, Cade has blonde har and blue eyes, a regular Aryan masterpeice complete with the arrogant attitude problem. Athletic, and showing more muscle than Dale, Cade is the more aggressive of the two.

Cade is the guy in the group who's too into being a jock and being popular. He's been getting into girl's pants for all the wrong reason and doesn't seem to realize that. He picks on the less popular kids, cheats to pass his tests, and is always the guy who has a shot to take at you, even at Matthew, knowing Dale disapproves. Since Dale and Cade have been friends for a long time, Dale usually puts up with it.


Suzanne

Age: 17

Description: brown hair, green eyes. She's tall for a girl, almost 5-10, and thin. Pretty, but not one to show off. Dresses casually. Wears little make-up.

She's Dale's girlfriend, and fits the scene perfectly. usually, when Dale isn't sticking up for Matthew against Cade, she is. Nice, and good-hearted, she's always got a smile and a listening ear. She's not overly dedicated, but she's played soccer most of her life.


How're they? A couple athletes, but no martial artists or anything.

I might change these (again), though. Any suggestions are welcome.

Quiet- I normally post in first person but since I'm running two characters, a new thing for me, I'm posting in third person (all-knowing) to keep things in line.

I'm in a couple of threads where there are varied points of view, but gets the story told so it works well together.

Some people get confused as to who I'm posting as when they don't know I'm doing that; I've seen you two around the board and figure you know, but thought I'd make it clear just in case. Doesn't seem like a lot of people do that any more.
