OOC: Hawkes of the Sea: a pirate fantasy

I know, it's not really my place to set up this thread, but it seemed a good idea if someone did. So, I hope you don't mind SojournerWolf. Basically, this is a thread for any ooc issues regarding our storyline. This would include objections, discussions, suggestions for plot. Well, hell any ooc issues. Someone else suggested it (sorry don't have the post to hand, so can't give credit to that person) and it's crossed my mind before now due to the nun issue.



Anyhoo - my first ooc issue is just to inform all of you I only work through the boards. I choose to keep my identity private, hence have no real mention of any email/icq etc. Sorry if this makes arranging things more difficult, its just a personal privacy issue. Anyone who does want to swap icq/email should feel free to followup and share with the group tho I guess.

I realize the personal privacy issue, I was just pointing out that I tried to contact you within normal channels and was unsuccessful I also pm'd you since I didnt belive that had anything to do with divulging your identity but you never checked it. I did not just want to assume and post the outcome without your permission. But it looks like you already did. Id appreciate a little input.

Hi Inkubus: Ok, firstly, and mebbe I should know this - what is pming someone? Sounds like there's something I'm completely unaware of, and would appreciate any education you can give on it.

Secondly, sorry if I went too far with the capture. I always work my post according to what has happened before. You had already said you were getting more and more lethargic due to the drug, ergo I took that one step further. I can and will change the post (as always) if this offends, and will not progress further till I have more feedback from you.

Again, sorry for not knowing what pming is, and thanks for any advice.

First, great idea here....thanks for taking the initiative!

Second, "PMing" is sending some one a "P"rivate "M"essage - an option I don't think was previously available before. However, if it works like the ones in chat, the person must be in the forum to receive it. I'm guessing on that point.

PMing is confidential, BadForm. It reveals no personal information about you. It's sorta like Lit's version of IM (Instant Messenger).

Hope this helps. Now if we can all just figure out how to use it.....

You can go into the Control Panel for your account and configure your Private Message option by clicking on the Edit Options tab. In the section that says "Messaging & Notification" you can enable or disable PMs, and you can control how you want to be notified about new PMs. I've set it up so that I get a pop up box that informs me of a new PM, and gives me the option of opening it in another window. (The pop up box only shows up while you're at Lit.) It's really kind of neat.

Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. Until Ticklish's post I had no idea about PMs, now I do. Now I see I misunderstood what was happening with Carlos. I goofed because of something I didn't know. Therefore, I'm asking here, would anyone mind me reworking that last post of mine so he is _not_ captured? The only other person who has written on that (and so may need to amend their post) is Mountain Angel. I really don't mean to do this to you guys, and now I understand PMs it won't happen again, but I have gone against what Inkubus wanted to happen, so is it ok to make the amendments.

Bad Form, your a great writer , Im not bad mouthing your style or your ideas, I just wanted input and had no idea how to colaborate with you. This OOC thread is a great idea but tag me in whatever way is comfortable for you. Lit seems to have great safeguards for security. Ill go along with pretty much anything I just wanted to work it out first.

Whatever is comfortable for you, BadForm, and Inkubus is fine with me. I was just trying to get out of that DAMN contraption and get a little action. LOL I have no problem editing my post to fit yours! Sometimes I never know how to work my posts in without disrupting someone's elses idea or vision. But it is a great reward when it all comes together! So I will look for the new edits in your posts! Thanks!

It's not too late...as this thread proceeds it is growing....already there is many subplots...and the hints of a "revolution"...that may help tie the subplots together, once the characters in them have reached a point where they feel satisfied with the posting they have done....
I'm sure we can welcome you in a dozen different plausible ways....

My Captain Hawke? Perhaps you have a use for this comely lass, ??? If not...your faithful first mate surely could.....

Brat - I have no idea who complained about your posts - frankly I was surprised someone did. Personally, I find them unusual and highly original. As these are two things I appreciate, I loved your posts. I did initially have some problem understanding exactly what was going on, but knew that 1) I had a cold so wasn't thinking clearly, 2) your posts were intriguing enough to be more than worth the effort.

Heh, time to fess up to anyone who didn't know (and anyone fluent in French probably does already). I speak very little French, the last time I spoke above enough to say "I love you" to my SO was about 17 years ago at school. Now, some of you may ask how I do a good impression of a woman who speaks limited french (possibly not) - I found a sweet little website:

It's good enough for an amateur thread like this - translates to/from English into other languages (German, Spanish, French, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese). So, if anyone needs to translate either way, and doesn't mind slight innacuracies of grammar etc, I suggest a trip to this sight. No, I am not being paid to promote it, but have found it useful both for Monique and for understanding some of the spanish posted. eg I understood what Carlos said to Monique, even tho she didn't.

Ok I need help. I can't figure out how to work this platform.
When I go to literotica and come on to the discussion board it seems to know who i am already "Clarrissa". When I log out there is no place to log in as a different user. My hubby cant seem to log in since they changed the look of this place. Does anyone know how to change the logged in user?
