OOC: Galactic Space Patrol Brotherhood!

This is an adapted thread from FLCL, aka Fooly Cooly, AkA Furi Kuri, depending on who you talk to. If you know the show, or the manga, and feel like jumping in... here's the basic idea...

Its been 6 years since Haruko took off from Mabase, leaving Naota behind to have a semi-normal life. But now, Medical Mechanica has started back its projects, and this time, its causing such a great flow of N.O that there's no WAY Haruko could ignore it... Are they trying to reincarnate Atomsk?

She's returned once again, this time with a crew of other Space Patrol Brethren! Geared with guitars, brightly painted Vespas, and their own unique quirks, the "aliens" are here to find out the new source of the N.O and to find the portals available to extract it. Of course, having some fun at the expense of those around them is a nice way to spend some time while working on this....

If only a bit of the series made sense to you, let's put it this way-
Guitars as weapons. Weird robots. Sex. Crazy people on Vespas. More sex.

Staple Chars from the series (Names written in English form):

Naota Nandaba - 18 yr old guy that Haruko originally found her best N.O portals through *kinda need him badly*

Kamon Nandaba- Early 50's, Naota's dad that's obsessed with Porn and runs his own adult magazine.

Canti- A Medical Mechanica robot that Haruko thwacked last time, now follows her and the crew around.

Mamimi Samejima- 23 yr old ex-girlfriend of Naota's older brother. A bit odd, very philosophical, a bit of a pyro, video game obessed. *kinda need someone for her too*

Commander Amarao- He works for the Dept of Interstellar Immigration, and keeps tabs on Medical Mechanica. He has a history with Haruko from long in their past, though doesn't say much about it to others. On hold for someone if he wants it....

Lieutenant Kitsurubami- She works for Amarao in the Dept of Interstellar Immigration.... And she hates him.

A player-created doctor or two working at Medical Mechanica would be nice, too.

Of course, Haruko will be needing that crew of hers, too.
I'd like to have at least 2 others with her; one guy, one girl.
Feel like playing a psychotic alien with me??

If you have any other ideas on a char, feel fre to put up a bio.

I'll start an IC thread if I find this really has an interested group... If not...

Occupation: Kill Atomsk!
Weapon: Rouge LX205B 5-String Bass and Jimi Hendrix Flying V Electric Guitar; she uses two guitars each one modified for optimum offense and defense. Incidentally her guitars are affectionately called "rock" (defense) and "roll" (offenses).
Personality: A certifiable nut job, Maze couldn't have been named any better. Quite possibly as nutty as Haruko or mabye she's a mouse compared to her friend? Who knows? Either way she's just as nutty and one should flee when she's riding her cherry red Vespa all obsticles are not an option. One thing to note she eats cats. *Meorw!!*

Bio: With a name like Shin Juku, you'd expect him to be big, bad, and dangerous. He's not big, but he's definitely bad and dangerous. Dressing in the old outfit of a ninja, complete with sword, he is skilled at his job. He has been on the lookout for strange happenings since hearing the story of some guy named Naota.

Clicky the link tis fun to watch...and no you will never understand the show. But if you watch it with an open mind bits and pieces make since.

Its generally an "alien" girl looking for the Pirate King and happens to be using poor little grade school kid as a portal to finding this King. Everything in between is just for kicks.


So I take it with Lily's story, Alien girl returns with friends (just as insane as her) to find this Pirate King (again) and uses poor former grade school kid as a portal (again).

At least that's what I think...hehe.

That is the basic plot, but to me it's also about choice and acting. For most of the series, Naota just lets things happen, he reacts instead of acting. Then int eh last few episodes he starts making choices for himself, and facing what's happening instead of trying to ignore it.

I love it. One of my favorite series. Maybe that means I'm a little crazy...*shrugs*

Anyway.

I'm going to try and find some pics of young Naota and maybe if there are any that could be used for older Noata, then I'll post my profile.
