OOC: Forgotten World Tavern

Okies everyone, here is a place for you all to relax. Shoot all yer ideas or just talk story.

Description of the Tavern:

There is a short corridor left of the Bar that leads to the restrooms. The bar takes up most of the left wall & there are double doors behind it leading to the kitchen. The smells come from there smell heavenly to any race. If you take a look at the bartender, he looks like Quark the Frengi or a sickly looking troll with sharp teeth (take your pick).

Bar-maids or wenches serve customers at tables & take offense to anyone trying to get them upstairs. Please when ordering your modern drinks (ex a srewdriver) make it clear to them. Under each of the tables, there is a chamber pot for thoses who can't quite hold thier liquor.

Ajoining the bar is the stage, where our talented ladies perform. Some have being imported from parts of the world to work here. Dancers & singers there are no strippers here. Right of the stage is a corridor to the dressing rooms & is guarded by a giant eunuch.

Along the right wall under the balcony of the upper rooms, there are a double doors way to the gaming room. There is a stairway to the right of that. The upperfloor has privite dining & as well as sleeping quarters.
(Note: patrons must bring there own ladies or gentlemen of the night)

Hey Arc , good to see you. This is a good idea. I had thought about doing this, but the thread is very informal, so did not bother. But , right now we are stopped dead in our tracks. I am having a lot of fun playing this thread (read: hogging all the characters). I would hate to see it die.

i was starting to think that i should have Starkynde go and pick up his physical body, then come back and drag you guys out of the woods.

That'd be dangerous though. Exandor would know right away, and he'd be really on our asses. As if we don't have enough enemies already.(perhaps confusion being one of them *larf*)

This OOC forum is a great idea! Nice link too. Why does this make me suspect that this sort of thing has happened to you before?

Now that i'm "subscribed" i'll be keeping an eye on further developments.

Yeah I have been debating about opening up a OOC forum for a long time. But things pick up in the story thread.

Now we are really stuck. Silverwolf didn't post this weekend & I have only seen you, Doffy & Doc on.

They don't have an icon for huge laughter with tears shooting out of the eyes. That would have been appropriate.

Even if this thread goes no further, i'm glad i had a chance to have met you people. It's been quite educational too. Now i know what "Role Playing" is about. i bet it could get addictive.

I HATE IT WHEN THIS HAPPENS!!!!!!!!

Everyone stops posting. No One posts! Everyone waits for someone else to get things started agian. NO one knows EXACTLY how to get things started again, so NOTHING gets done and the story or the storyline, DIES!!!! I HATE IT!!!!!

Chewie and I discussed ideas how to kickstart the thread a week or so ago, He posted, I posted. We started getting rid of the wolves. If some others will post and KILL off the damn wolves we can start travelling again, find something else to play with and, IF, the others do not return, we'll kill them off one at a time or seperate the group. That sounds like a DAMN good idea.

My Doffy Idea:

The wolves get into the middle of the group. Those of us still writing manage an escape. We start heading for WHEREEVER it was we were headed for.

IF the others return, they can re-join us one at a time. THe group got seperated and scattered. We then regroup and move on.

If they don't return, we get to the Dark Castle or whatever, they never appear and we ASSUME they're dead and head into the Dark castle to continue the fight.

If anyone's intrested, write a post killing some of the wolves. Chewie has written that Silver will kill the wolves and I wrote the classic Wooden stake would kill the wolves. (Thurstor has his own twist on this idea of course. ) And then we'll fight our way free of them and move on.

Like all of you, I would like to keep this story going. It's a good thread with some great writers.

Okies this is direct quote from thread by SilverWolf ...

it was a morothian, a 20 foot tall undead wolf that had the intelligence of every living creature and the strength of an army and worse still knew most or even all of the new and most or all of the old spells.

So since Thurstor killed the undead wolf & it turns to dust. We need to take care of the rest of the Skeltons. And any other undead creatures we can think of.

Thats about sums it up. I'll check the monster manual 3rd ed that I now have at home.

Doffy's idea is a good one ... just need to modify it a bit.

<Recap>

At the moment the party is being attacked by ...

1) a giant undead wolf that has knowledge of an ancient mage.
2) an army of skeltons
3) (from Doffy's post) undead (regular) wolves too


The morothian ...

1) Talen has pierced the right eye with a sharpened branch & pecked the left one. (we will presume that the left one is healing)
2) Sorian rammed an ice spike through his chest and into his right leg.
3) Perrin is holding the vine that it trusted up like a calf. (sort of)
4) Revlin chucks coins at it & had now run out of silver ammo (or has he?!)
5) Arcreaus shoots his 10 silver arrows at it


The army of skeltons ...

1) Illyna is going head in w/ a sword & doing a frontal attack. (Possible to be separated from the group.)
2) Arcreaus has shot some of his regular arrows at the army.


Now has Thustor had used a oak log to stabbed the Morothian. A pack of undead wolves, has now joined the army of skeltons. (possiblity taking out some of the skeltons with the swing.)

Or something to that effect.

Wow doing this brainstorming & review. I think, I might have a post to write.

Ok I kind of used your idea Doffy and used your post Arc to kind of try and set us back on track. If everyone is ok with this, then those of us who are still posting can continue on and the rest can catch up with us. So shall we continue on?

Really Arc, thanks for the "resuscitation".

Now that we're on the Northern Road though, unless Sorian rejoins us there's no point in going to the North Tower. The Wand would be useless, even deadly to any of the rest of us.

We could go after the Treasure and the magical items there. Then head to (i like Doffy's name) Dark Castle, which would be where Exandor lives.

We could pick up my "body" on the way, keeping in mind that from the instant i reanimate, Exandor will be aware of my presence.

Things will get hairier as we go North and get closer to the source of the Evil. Can we handle it?

i daresay.

Treasure first? There are some very potent weapons stashed there!

i'll wait for a response before i talk to Trilla.

Getting upset of a member on another fantasy thread, didn't help. Chewy know what I am talking about. It effected my writing ablity for this thread too.

Golly Gee, I've never gotten a thank you for throwing a fit before. That's all it was. But thank you for the credit Arc. I'm quite sure your beauty, eloquence and charisma is what got the story moving again though.

As for the horses, I think they would have run off. Even if they didn't, no one thought to save them (No one wrote it anyway) So I'd say, that the skeletons and wolves not only got between us and our mages but also us and our horses. Not like it matters to me, Thurstor never had a horse, so feel free to ignore me if your characters are TO GOOD to walk!!

hows this for an explination ...

The forrest to to dense for us to ride, so we were leading the horses. they run at the first sign of -or- we sent them off to be found later. (gives the group more room to fight) Trilla's horse is probably trained so we will have at least one horse. Maybe two. Cos her horse is smart.

If that sounds good w/ everyone ... Then at lease two people can rest thier legs at a time. Cos I think we are a long way off.
