Bah. If there is anything worse, it's writer's block. Trying to come up with a good storyline for a idea is tough when your brian doesn't want to work properly. Looks like college seems to like to fuck up the brain and suck out all your creativity at times. This really sucks.

I hate to break this to you, but it starts in college. It doesn't stop there.

A word of quasi-wisdom from someone who has to crank out ideas for a living: don't allow yourself to think of ideas as work. Stories are playtime for your brain. It's easy to take it too seriously when its happening under pressure, but the pressure is happening inside of you and you have the power to tell it to take a hike. Give yourself permission to use your imagination like a toy, the way you did when you were too young to assign it a value.

It'll come then. Trust it. Every time I've ever been convinced that the idea would never come, there's been a time later on to look back on it and think, "There. That wasn't so bad." When that happens often enough, you realize you have the capacity to create under almost any circumstance.

And when all else fails, just start typing. Delete what you hate.

That's true. I think that's part of why I came here in the first place, to let my imagination flow. I guess lately it's been mostly that nothing has caught my interest enough and that has held me back some. That could be a part of my problem as well, that I don't know who to talk to join or start a thread or two.

I think you already have an idea...

College - everyone goes in full of creativity and hope...but something drains it from them....what evil lurks in the hallways.. in the dorms...in the lecture halls....are they teaching the students or brainwashing them....

Think about it..you have alot of anger and frustration that would translate into your work...
