Just filling in some gaps.
A relevant Time-scale simply means that the setting can, if needful, be moved forward or backwards in time. The current setting, the club itself, is a modern setting. That does not necessarily mean that all characters in the club are modern. Again, emphasizing the nexus gate, if you know what it is, and have the key, you can go anywhen you need to.
The club itself is neutral ground. Arguments are fine, drama is fine - battling and maiming and killing is not. The club has it's own security team, and you would not like what they would do to you. So, if you want to throw a drink in the face of the asshole who put his hand on your ass, fine. Cutting that hand off with a five-foot flamberge *whistles innocently for Inaway's benefit* is most definitely not.

This is an open-call roleplay. That means you can, at any point in the story, create a character and walk right into the play. If you don't understand some of the exchanges between players, chances are, it will come clear later when all hell breaks loose. Please pay attention to the rules of the game, and play believably.
