ex police officer, ex military, ex everything almost. Kyle had managed to make a good living leaning on others, his brawn and muscle taking him where his brain couldn't, his nerve and lack of caring about others letting him do the nasty chores his new employer handed to him.

Now he lays in a bed, his legs paralyzed and the doctors telling him to get his affairs in order. The ironic thing in Kyle's mind is he has no affairs to get in order and has always hated waiting for anything, including death.

as Dan Horton 29 years young and victim of his own greed, now living out his last days inside a room and attached to machines. An outdoorsman by choice, a thief by habit, he hates the idea of dying inside the buildings he's lived his life outside of.
